In 2003, my husband, Mike, and I moved from Sunrise, FL to Lake City, FL. You could say it was a complete change of lifestyle and that would be an understatement! Sunrise, FL was crowded and noisy. Lake City and the surrounding area is not only beautiful, but it is blessed with great weather and great people. We live on a 10 acre farm with our two horses, twenty chickens, three ducks, three cats and three dogs. We know and love our neighbors who are more family than friends. Where do you find that today? Lake City is located at the crossroads of I-10 and I-75 so we enjoy the amenities that a bigger city would provide while retaining its small town feeling. The surrounding area includes clear, spring fed rivers, small and large lakes, historical towns and a nice mix of wooded and pasture land.
