As first time home buyers, we were walking into a world of unknown. We moved blindly from Hawaii to Eugene, we had never been to the area and the only thing we were really sure about is that we wanted to buy our first home here. I contacted a few realtors and Susan called me almost immediately. We were still in Hawaii during our initial phone conversation, but Susan was welcoming, transparent, confident in our wishlist, and she made us feel comfortable. I did speak to a few other agents afterward, but some pushed us off to their assistant and others didn't seem welcoming on the phone.After moving, Susan immediately took us around the Springfield-Eugene area to see different neighborhoods. As first time buyers and new to the area, we had no idea what to expect or what we really wanted. Susan asked us so many questions, which was PERFECT because it helped us all narrow down what we wished for in a house and in a neighborhood. In return, Susan was also very patient with us with all our questions throughout the entire process. Susan always went above and beyond to carefully explain every single detail and possibility that could happen with any house we saw and any offer we made. She always noticed and pointed out the good and bad of every house we saw and she would then explain our options and possibilities. We saw SO many houses (mostly because we were still figuring out what we liked and what we didn't like and other times because the market is so competitive). Susan was so enthusiastic and patient through every visit we made her go on! We found our home and now came the offer letter and process of officially buying it. Again, Susan was so patient and carefully explained every line in the offer and in the final contract. One of the BEST things Susan did for us is she was aggressive with our offer/counter offer/conditions/etc. She knew what we could get and she always went after it. We really needed this as we had the mindset of "give-some, get-some." Even MOORE is that Susan has so many inside contacts with contractors and local businesses that she was able to speed up some of our needed repairs and we were able to get honest pricing without being quoted for work that didn't need to be done. Still to this day I ask her for contacts (carpet stretcher, handyman, house cleaner, etc.). Additionally, Susan kept us on track in regards to strict time frames, what needed to be submitted and when, signatures, etc. All said and done and we still love our new home! We got on amazing deal with some bonuses that Susan fought for us to get! We have referred Susan to some of our friends and we will always refer anybody to her for all realtor needs. When it comes time to sell, you better believe that Susan will once again be our realtor!
