My wife and I just spent the past year looking for a new house and then selling our old house - what a frustrating and stressful process. However, we were very thankful to have Steve and Evelyn working with us and helping us along the way, providing sound advice and lots of reassurance. Steve is very friendly, easy going and patient and took the time to understand what each of us was looking for in our new home. He is incredibly knowledgeable in the process and also seems to know everyone else in the industry, around the Portland metro area. He's very well connected and has friends who can help in all areas of real estate, from mortgage loans to handyman services. He was generally available for viewings and questions, and also very responsive by phone, text and email. In the few cases where he was not available, he made sure that Evelyn or another associate from his office could take us to a viewing. Everyone we met from his office was very friendly, helpful and professional. His negotiating and closing skills are excellent - he gave us great advice and guidance each time we went to make an offer on a place (and there were many times). When we looked into the option of building a house, Steve made sure that he was involved so that he could help support us and make the right, informed decisions. When it came to listing our house, Steve did a great job of putting the marketing material together. I wasn't totally happy with the initial main photo on the listing and he had it re-taken and updated immediately. He and his team put on many, many open house sessions for us, as it took longer than expected to sell due to an over-supply of inventory in that area. He did a fantastic job navigating us through some disappointing offer situations, and ultimately got us a deal that we were satisfied with and it finally closed without a hitch. We are really glad that we went with Steve and would highly recommend him and Evelyn for real estate transactions.
