Steve was an absolute delight to work with through a homebuying process that included a number of surprises and challenges. This purchase was not a straightforward transaction (Big Sur properties often have issues with permits, inaccurate land survey data, lack of recent valuations, structure condition issues, and missing or ambiguous address information, all of which applied here), and no matter what obstacle came up during the negotiation, Steve was positive, responsive, and went far above and beyond in order to help us close. He was unflappable when we encountered issues that could have potentially unraveled the deal, and worked with us and the seller to extend escrow - twice - until we were able to resolve them. He personally went to the county planning department to investigate the property history, was unfailingly fun to work with, and took the initiative to update us nearly every day as well as returning all of our calls promptly. He had great suggestions about financing. He gladly drove the seller (who is disabled) to multiple meetings at the property and title company, and worked with the difficulties they had signing documents as well.
