As good as it gets! My brother and I recently employed Steve to help us sell our father's home in Carmel Valley. Living out-of-state, we were both concerned with the difficulties this would present - we were faced with liquidating our father's estate, emptying, cleaning and staging a home that was in need of some TLC. From thousands of miles away, it was a daunting task. Working with Steve, we went from entering the home for the first time in years to closing in under 3 months. Steve spearheaded every step of the process : shipping family heirlooms, selling items of value, donating other items, cleaning out and staging the home, and finally closing, it was all Steve. What should have been an ordeal was a turnkey and seamless experience. I can honestly say that I have never worked with anyone, real estate or otherwise, who is as diligent, knowledgable, communicative, trustworthy, empathetic, and pleasant as Steve. Steve is the best realtor I have ever worked with. He is a trustworthy, tireless, and resourceful problem solver who will do anything to help his clients achieve their goals. When my brother and I inherited our father's home in Carmel, we wanted to sell the property, but it was full of our fathers possessions and both my brother and I live in distant parts of the country. Steve joined our effort and was immediately eager to help us ship family heirlooms, sell items that were worth selling, donate what could be donated, and then clean out the location and prepare it for sale. He has a deep network of companies that he called on to help with that process. And once the property was ready to sell, Steve had an excellent strategy to test the market and then perfectly price the property for an optimal and expedient sale. I think it is worth noting that I learned about Steve after he did a wonderful job selling my wife's childhood home -- another project that required Steve to go above and beyond.

In the Monterey Bay area, we had a LOT of realtors to choose from. Steve's realistic approach to the entire process was a breath of fresh air; I could count on Steve to give me the blunt details, good or bad, about any part of the home-buying process. Steve takes time to get to know people, their requirements, and what each customer is most passionate about in terms of finding a house. I've come across many realtors who just show you places within your functional requirements, but don't go beyond that. If we ever have a need to upgrade or look for another home to buy, I wouldn't feel right about going with anyone but Steve Hunt.
