THE FIVE KEYS Beginning his real estate career in 1980 with a "Rookie of the Year" award, Stan was named his Santa Barbara firm's "Top Dollar Associate" just five years later. He was consistently among the upper 1% of Coldwell Banker agents nationwide and was a three-time recipient of the firm's "Top 100" honor. Stan is excited to now be associated with Compass, a technology-driven real estate company which is now nationwide. That ongoing, uninterrupted success is commendable, but it is the keys to that success that are important to Stan's clients and define him as a respected and successful real estate professional. Those keys are his commitment to untiring communication and service, masterful marketing and negotiation skills resulting from extensive experience and research, a superior ability to anticipate problems and solve them, and unsurpassed ethics and professionalism. THE FIVE CREDENTIALS In addition to Stan's college degrees in Business and Environmental Studies, and the Young Californian Medal for Bravery he received as a high school student after pulling an elderly man from a burning car, there are several prestigious credentials he has earned in order to better serve his clients. Within three years of obtaining his real estate license, he went on to gain a Real Estate Broker accreditation. Subsequently, he graduated from the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and earned the coveted Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation and the Green Designation. Fewer than 6% of agents nationwide have earned the right to use all those titles. He has also received the respected title Architectural Properties Specialist for his focus on selling distinctive homes. Stan considers those and his many other honors and achievements to be vital in his ongoing commitment to provide his clients the best possible representation in their quest to buy or sell their dream properties. THE PREPARATION Although Stan grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, he spent most summers and holidays living in Yosemite National Park where his mother worked. After high school, he spent even more time in Yosemite where he worked to pay for college, developed a passion for rock climbing and remained for five years after graduating from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Environmental Studies. During those formative years, he learned the value of enthusiasm, effort, perseverance and hard work. Subsequently, Stan moved to Santa Cruz where he earned his Realtor's license and began his real estate career with one of the largest firms in the Santa Cruz-San Jose area. Within three years, he had gained his Real Estate Broker license and was selling homes while operating a property management company. Falling in love with California's Central Coast while attending the University of California at Santa Barbara, Stan ultimately made "The American Riviera" his home. He considers its natural beauty and moderate climate to be the perfect setting for enjoying his love of hiking, camping, jogging, tennis, and car shows. Stan remains one of Santa Barbara's most successful and respected real estate professionals. It is no wonder that Stan was named Realtor of the Year in 2015!
