when we decided to proceed with our dream of owning a farm and go about the process of selling our home?..one realtor particularly stood out. Not sure why at the time, but in the end it was evident. At first my husband, Craig had other suggestions on who to use and I just couldn?t get past my head and my heart telling me that Stacy was the one! So, I gave her call. Stacy was willing to help and emailed me some basics to get started! Little do she know what she was getting herself into! The process of selling our home wasn?t a huge challenge. It was pretty basic and self explanatory with a few hiccups?.mostly due to our buying part. Also due to the fact that Stacy made it clear that she would do everything to make sure we wouldn?t loose our current home without being guaranteed we could not only buy-but be able to do what we wanted as far as rebuild our dream home on the property of our choice?.and that she did! This property of our choice however, is where the true struggles came. Our property was chosen and was an off market listing that we stumbled across-to put it lightly. Stacy helped us write our contract and we submitted it to the owners?..several times. There were disagreements, there were requests, there was a lot of back and forth but Stacy handled all the this with grace. And we thought that was the hard part! Then came the fact the property was a farm?..only certain lenders deal with farms as they are a higher risk, and then throw in the appraisers being backed up with appraisals and then still not making their deadlines, hazard insurance requests where several insurances agents couldn?t help (again farm), perk test and septic issues, contract expirations and deadlines to meet?.we ask ourselves-how did we even get to the closing table? The answer is?.because of our realtor. She was amazing through the whole process. Stacy had her broker, Eric step in about half way when the hiccups began. She knew she needed some help on this one and she has the perfect team to be able to do that. I say that because her assistant, Tori and her administrator Susan also played a part. Susan saved the day with digging up septic information when the health department declared they didn?t have one on file and Tori made some visits on our behalf to get the ball rolling at the beginning of our journey but to also make sure paperwork was completed at the end of our day of closing. Truly a great team! By asking her broker to step in, she added another piece to our puzzle that helped complete it. They are both super busy with the market right now and were able to work together to cater to our many circumstances throughout this unprecedented process. They both checked in often with not only us, but with our lender, the realtor for the buyers for our property and the sellers we were buying from- to make sure everything was still flowing as it should be and keeping everyone informed on what was happening through out the process. They put in weekend calls-even on vacations. They made sure all documents were in place?.every step of the way, so we as the clients were covered in the case the contract would fall through or didn?t work out. It?s not that they didn?t believe in us, it?s that the process of our buy was probably one of the most complicated they probably ever had to deal with. I don?t know that for sure-but I do know that if most people had such a crazy buying experience as ours-I?m not sure anyone would ever sell their home and buy. So I have to say-we definitely challenged Stacy! Stacy?s grace through the whole process was a huge comfort to us knowing she was behind us. She had our back if anything didn?t go as planned and she showed she genuinely cared for our best interest at heart. I can say looking back on this-the reason why she stood out to me originally was because of her kind mannerism she presented when I had met her originally and spoke with her back when our girls took dance classes together. She presented herself as positive, supportive mom who was clearly able to multi-task with a busy work schedule while still being there for all of her children?..even being a little extra. As a mom of 3 (soon to be 4)myself, I felt that in my heart and wanted to support her-I was drawn to her?.and Boy am I so glad that I was! I?m not sure we would have made it to the closing table without her! I honestly feel any other realtor would have given up on us or caved with some of the crazy issues we faced. They wouldn?t have had the energy to argue on our behalf or to push us to move forth such as Stacy did. We are so grateful for Stacy and would highly recommend you choose her too?.as you would not be disappointed!
