We moved to Jersey City from Queens, NY. We didn't know much about the area and had only visited a couple of times but wanted to buy and the prices in Queens were impossible for out budget. We reached out initially to his partner , Soha Fontaine, who then assigned her colleague James to us. He showed would show us as many places as we wanted to see (although was frank with us that we should limit how many we saw per-day so that we could remain engaged and focused on what we were looking at) and had an extremely flexible schedule. We drove in from Queens I don't even know how many days and every time we picked a spot of where to meet and when, he showed up early - every time. Despite having the sense that James had a lot of clients, we never had the sense that we were any less important than ones where he might earn a much higher commission. What I also really appreciated was that when we were looking at a property or talking to him, he was always focused on what we were doing right then - not taking other calls - not looking at other listings or appointments. He was there for us for sure. Not only reliable, James was relatable and lives in the area where he works and has for quite some time so there's no question he knows what's what in terms of neighborhoods, proximity to good schools / nightlife / transportation and other amenities that matter when choosing a home. He is also very experienced in the business so we had total fail in him to follow through with every aspect of the buying process.

We met with a few real estate agents for the sale of a one bedroom Jersey City condo. During the interview, we knew she had the experience and the local contacts needed to upgrade the condo and stage the unit in preparation for the sale of the unit. We decided to move forward with Soha because she found us a contractor who would help us get the condo on the market quickly as interest rates were rising quickly. We were on a time crunch to get a decent offer on the unit and we needed it ready quickly! Her contractor was able to complete the job within weeks from repairs on the hardwood floors, painting the ceiling and walls to putting in new cabinets and sink in the kitchen. Since we are from California, Soha helped us coordinate and oversaw all the work that needed to be done with the condo. She made it all seamless. Before the apartment upgrade was done, staged or listed, Soha already had an offer on the table. She worked her negation skills and was able to get us far more than the initial offer from the buyer. The condo sold before it even got listed or had a single open house. During the entire process working with Soha, she showed herself to be a good negotiator in such a graceful professional manner. We use her again and highly recommend Soha Fontaine.
