I grew up in a hardworking self-employed family. They taught me so much about life! At the age of 6, I was cleaning offices with my entire family, and early on -- I learned how to treat people -- and how they are treated can make a difference in all sorts of ways. Not only did I learn that the right treatment could make others very happy it could also determine whether or not supper would be on the table. My family taught me how to look at each person as an equal -- forget money, race, class -- everyone deserves to be treated with the utmost respect. At an early age, I became the family keeper, family clown and the problem solver. That was my role and I loved it. Making people feel good has become my total passion in life. My love for real estate began early in life -- my father ran his own company and I was his right-hand girl -- he taught me how to run a company, how to let my own creativity flow, while making others happy. I was always with my father, designing house plans, painting and he even taught me how to drywall. I knew at a very young age, I was going to work in the field of Real Estate because I saw the joy a new home brought to people. In addition to our family business, my family would foster children from the local Boys home. These were children that had no place to go during holidays. Watching children my own age, who had nothing -- no parents or stable home life really impacted me. There I was -- in a "perfect" home with wonderful parents. This inspired me to adopt my son from the state department. He is a beautiful adult and I am so proud of him. I also have a beautiful daughter, and she was thrilled to open her arms wide and to welcome him into our home without hesitation or jealousy. Both of my children were very active in sports and I was a cheerleading coach for over 10 years. I love to help children develop their talents and to gain self-esteem. Coaching children was a big part of my past. I coached girls and saw them transform into young confident adults, along with my beautiful daughter. While I am a petite woman, I am sure I had the biggest voice in the crowd! As for my work history, I was the CEO of 22 tax office locations with 125 employees where we serviced 40,000 clients! Even during that busy time of my life - I was still the clown, always making people laugh, the keeper and helper of each employee's family I believed in treating them as I would my own family. That was such a rewarding time in my life! At that time, I obtained my Kentucky broker's license; I finally began my real estate career in my late 20's While I enjoyed working as a CEO in the family business, once I began working in the real estate industry -- that was I for me. I ventured into building houses like my father had. I built many custom homes for people and helped to make their dreams come true. While I was very successful in Kentucky, I kept feeling as though there was something more for me, as if something was "missing." Around that time, I visited Bonita Springs Florida and realized there is a place in this country where one can see the sunshine every day! I knew that was the last missing link to MY life. I have always been an optimist and encouraged anyone and everyone, but seeing the sunshine every single morning, really made me jump out of bed with a huge smile. Soon after that (2006), I moved my family to Naples Florida and we continue to love it here. I have three grandsons now and every single day I wake up to the sunshine and get to do exactly what I love to do - help people to make their dreams come true! I have my family, 3 beautiful grandchildren, I live where the sun shines every single day and I HELP people turn dreams into reality. For me, this is exactly what life is about!
