Shelley Staton is a lifetime Kansas City native and currently lives in Leawood Kansas with her husband and two sons. This history gives her great familiarity with the different neighborhoods and schools in the Kansas City area. Shelley graduated from Notre Dame De Sion and Rockhurst University with a BA in Business Communication and Marketing Business Communication and Marketing. Prior to real estate, Shelley was an advertising executive with The Business Journal and was responsible for marketing million dollar homes in the Distinctive Homes Section. Shelley also has worked with several investors and has special insights into redesign and remodeling that she has used with past clients and her own personal homes. Shelley is proud to support Children's Mercy Hospital and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by fundraising, volunteering and creating public awareness and is committed to giving back in the community including staying active in her sons elementary school. Shelley and her husband enjoy reading to their kids classrooms and cheering on their boys at their football games. Shelley's great grandfather built the Professional Building, a historic landmark in downtown Kansas City, her grandfather and his partners developed Corporate Woods Office Park in Overland Park, her grandmother was a residential real estate broker, who kept an active license until her death at the age of 81 and her father, Doug Lyman, is also Senior Partner in the Lyman Staton Group.
