Shanon recently helped us sell my moms long time home. As a realtor she covered every detail, including explaining things that have changed since my mom has sold a home 40 years ago. She staged the home, marketed the home and cared about the people in the home. She was easily accessible and picked up the phone more than had to return a call. She is knowledgable and willing to go the extra yard. She also dispelled the myth your realtor needs to live in area. She lived 15 miles west of the home and still managed to have it under contract and sell above asking in 2 days.
Shanon clearly presented a plan to prepare our home before putting it on the market for sale. She explained her commissions and other logistics required for the sale of the home. She responded quickly to my inquiries and questions, explained the current market and how she arrived at a fair market value for our home. In addition, she provided other services such as bringing in a stager to get another opinion about making the home desirable for buyers as well as bringing in a photographer who took high quality photos including aerial drone photography. She also recommended to evaluate the pros and cons of doing some renovations and possibly working with a renovation company. We preferred using our personal attorney to complete the sale and she worked well with him throughout the process. She guided us in negotiating a fair price for the house given market conditions and successfully completed the sale. She was present at the final walk through and handled the questions and concerns of the buyer well. I would recommend Shanon as a real estate agent in selling your house.
My siblings and I contracted Shanon to sell our mother's house after she passed away earlier this year. I had interviewed several realtors (by phone) who had sold homes in this subdivision, and Shanon by far seemed the most knowledgeable about Downers Grove in general and the Bruce Lake neighborhood in particular. AND she was, hands-down, the least egotistical. Instead of yapping on and on about her prowess as a realtor, she asked a lot of questions and listened to our concerns. She talked about what her approach would be for a house of this vintage and condition and made practical suggestions for what did and did not need to be fixed before it could be sold. She focused on all the positive features and how she would highlight them in descriptions, social media posts, and marketing photos (which were beautifully done, including drone videos of the property and the lake park). Shanon was highly professional and expertly diplomatic dealing with 3 siblings, one in-law, the executor for the estate, and the estate lawyer, as there was very little that all 6 of us agreed on. [I was praying that she wouldn't get so frustrated with us that she'd want to quit...] Offers came in almost immediately after her open house for other realtors, and the property closed in a very reasonable amount of time, for considerably more than I expected we would get for it. I highly recommend Shanon and am happy to have a conversation with anyone who might be considering hiring her to be their realtor.
Shanon was a pleasure to work with especially being first time home buyer in this crazy market! I really did not know where to start, she suggested a great mortgage company to just find out what my preapproval was. I did that and immediately we went to go look at three homes. Shannon was very responsive when it came to my MANY questions. I would send her listings until the late hours of the night and she would always respond. We got to know each other better over thew next couple of months, and broadened my search area to fit the type of home I was looking for. Eventually we found THE ONE. Shanon was great when it was time for action! She was quick when drawing up my contract, getting my list of needs and wants, and even quicker when it came down to the negotiations! We were in a bid war which Shanon made sure we would succeed. And we did.I really enjoyed working with Shanon, she has came back to my new home several times to see the progress. We have built a great relationship and I look forward to working with her again some time, and even recommending her to friends entering the market!
Shanon was the best! She helped us in more ways than we expected. She was more than willing to take us to many different houses in many different locations. She answered all of our questions anytime, day or nite. If she didn't have the answer she would find it. She also recommended a great attorney that that handled the process smoothly. She also gave us a very thorough home inspector who took the time to explain everything to us. She fought for us when we wanted credit for much needed repairs. She helped to make the experience less stressful. Thanks to her sense of humor it was also fun. I would gladly recommend Shanon Tully to anyone looking to buy or sell a house!
Shanon listened to our suggestions from our Zillow searches to find "that" house. We dragged her into 4 counties and many communities, always with that smile on her face. After time and being outbid, we finally found a great house. There was quite a bit of negotiating with the listing agent which Shanon went above and beyond to make all of it happen. Listing my home with Shanon was pure joy! At our initial meeting, she walked me through the complete process which included showing me examples of the brochure that would be created as well as her overall marketing plan. I was pretty direct on what timelines I wanted and she was very willing to accommodate. Communication was ongoing. In fact, the day before the house was to go on the market, she asked to increase the price of the townhouse due to the market as well as the condition and location of the property. We received offers quickly and set a deadline for best and final offers almost immediately. Within less than a week, we accepted an offer. The experience was wonderful.
Shanon went above and beyond for us during our house search. We were looking for a house in Illinois while living out of state, which poses some challenges. Shanon made this process as easy as could be by providing us virtual tours with detailed commentary, emphasizing areas of concern and highlighting qualities we were looking in a home. Her attention to detail as well as understanding what we were looking for gave us the confidence we needed to make an offer on our dream house without even seeing it in person beforehand and we couldn't be happier. She was available anytime we needed to call whether it was for a showing or to be a voice of reason. Shanon Tully is simply the BEST! After working with Shanon on a house sold in an irrevocable trust, it is apparent Shanon cares about her clients as well as the community/neighborhood she lives and sells real estate in. This was my first time as a seller of a house (one I did not own or live in) and trust me when I say the circumstances were from "normal." This sale involved me as the first successor trustee. Shanon accepted me as a novice seller, and took me to a level of understanding, and ultimately the sale of the house. Shanon made sure I was fully aware of my responsibilities to ensure compliance in every step from contract to closing. Shanon truly understands how to sell a house, and she truly "understands" when more than just as house is being sold. Her insight and professional approach to matters (e.g. selling a house in trust, family dynamics, cancelled first contract, etc.) showed me her dedication to a successful outcome. Shanon's understanding of the current real estate market, her transparency, honesty, reliability and quick problem-solving skills not only reduced the overall stress, but displayed her level of expertise. I initially thought one did not really need a real estate agent to sell a house (novice, remember?) but will never entertain that thought again. I cannot say enough about how Shanon showed me the value of a dedicated and competent real estate agent. I am grateful to have gotten to know Shanon, but even more so, to have experienced working with her on the sale of this house. It was definitely a positive experience!
Shanon was more than a realtor for my sell and buy but became a good and trusted friend. She has the experience and knowledge of the area that I needed. She was very knowledgeable about the whole process as well as patient especially given the craziness of the current market. She responded quickly to any inquiries calls or emails and we were able to see new properties quickly. She also provided great recommendations for lender, attorney and inspections and continued her great service even after the closing for any help needed. She really does go above and beyond for her clients!
