Our jobs require us to move periodically to different areas where our company has projects. He has a background in home inspections and wasn't afraid to get a little dirty looking into crawlspaces with me. I have had the pleasure to deal with Sean McGovern first as a buyer and more recently as a seller. It is hard to convey how good he is at each and how nice he is to deal with, but Ill give it a go. In 2017, my family was moving to Lexington for a job and more or less randomly picked him an agent (based solely on reviews, I think). Being first-time home buyers, my wife and I were a handful. He patiently and gracefully guided us through the search as we passed on house after house, each more disastrous than the prior. Then the right one hit the market. This is the one. Get it for me! I told him. And he did. During the entire process, he was exactly the consummate advocate that you would want representing you as an agent and was so easy going and personable that it was hard to notice all the complexities that he was managing behind the scenes. He seemed impossibly knowledgeable about all things involved in and adjacent to real estate, from the loan process to appraisals, from repairs to home warranties. He made the extremely complicated process extremely easy. My job had a predefined five-year expiration date so when it came time to sell, there was never any question as to whom my agent would be... assuming hed be willing to put up with us again, this time as first-time sellers. Fortunately he was. We were just as difficult as before and he was even more amazing than before. He had a clear marketing strategy from the onset. He did a walkthrough with us and coached us as to where to focus our energy to make the home most marketable to buyers and satisfactory to inspectors. Then he took stunning, professional pictures and video. When it launched, there was outstanding interest and it sold within the first week. Due to buyer-side factors, the deal fell through. He listed again, it sold quickly again... and it again fell through due to buyer-side issues. He listed again, it sold quickly again, and this time, all went smoothly to closure. He was extremely optimistic throughout. Ultimately, Sean has helped me buy a house in a sellers market and sell the same house three times in a buyers market, each time selling within the first week. He is as good as they come and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
