Choosing Scott to sell my house was the best decision I made. His experience and extensive network of reliable and talented contractors was invaluable.
Scott introduced himself to me during a aEURoedriveway momentaEUR? a several years ago. He had recently handled the purchase of the house next door and had stopped by around dinnertime to check in on his recent clients as they were settling into their new home. I was not contemplating the sale of my home at the time but as I was nearing retirement, it was only a matter of time when that task would be added to my To Do list. He introduced himself and we briefly discussed his strategy for selling a century old home that would need significant TLC to bring it up to todays market standards. We exchanged contact information and I must emphasize that he left me with the impression of a realtor who knew the market in Westfield and understood the property rehabilitation process.Fast forward to November 2021 and it was now time to put my home on the market. My brief conversation with Scott several years earlier had left a lasting impression. I dug out his business card, called and we met. Scott came to the meeting fully prepared with historical market data for many properties in my section of Westfield that had been through the renovation/entire rebuild process. His preparation for the meeting demonstrated his experience with this transaction type including focus on the contractor market and the range of possibilities for my property. Although this was to be an aEURoeAs IsaEUR? sale, Scott also described the seemingly mundane but otherwise critical tasks such as fire safety inspection, underground storage tank sweep, etc. that would still need to take place before closing. During that meeting, we set a listing price, developed a sales process timeline, established criteria for acceptable offers and most importantly, agreed on our mutual expectations of what a successful sales process would look like.Suffice it to say, by all measurements the process was successful. The showing process went smoothly, significant capable buyer interest was generated, and the transaction was completed in the planned timeframe. And while there was always the potential for unexpected issues to arise, Scott brings to the table the resources to address those issues with a calm and reliable approach. I now reside outside of New Jersey, but I am still connected to Westfield through family and friends. Without reservation I will recommend Scott to all as an excellent realtor and trusted advisor.
Scott and his team are the most professional group of Realtors I have ever dealt with. Finding them was great. Over the years I have moved around nine times and on this one, he's been an exemplary advisor. He assisted in ways I did not expect someone in his position would take on. He made our transaction smooth and helped us add value by pointing out negative items and assisting in correcting them. Working with him added significant value and helped us realize a much higher selling price by providing buyers with an updated home. In the middle of the pandemic we wanted to move into an over 55 community in Union County NJ.A Finding any property in north Jersey isnt easy, and finding an adult community near Westfield is particularly tough.In talking to Realtors only Scott offered to work proactively find us a suitable property. Rather than inundate us with all area listings, he filtered what he sent us, and actually commented on the appropriateness of the home.A In addition, and truly valuable, he identified communities we found desirable and proactively reached out to current homeowners.A These were people who had not yet listed their home, but might be planning to do so. A Knowing what will be available before it is listed is a huge advantage.Early on Scott explained that finding a house is only half the Realtors value.A Managing the process and the paperwork is fully another half, and Scott shined in this area.You expect a Realtor to help you negotiate the price, and he certainly did.A Unfortunately the inspection report uncovered a serious issue.A Scott spent considerable time reviewing the issue and identifying a quality compromise that everyone was pleased with.A Without his efforts we could not have purchased the home.During the pre-closing process Scott was with us the entire time ensuring that the town inspections were completed, the input to the title company was completed in a timely manner and when necessary he worked with the attorneys to move the process along.A In summary, Scott was an excellent asset to us in finding the perfect home.
Scott helped us find our first home and we could not be happier! He was knowledgeable about the area, responsive to all our questions at all hours, and made time for us during a pandemic to look for houses. Scott was reassuring and kept us calm during what could have been a stressful time. We also saw a house Scott was selling which was by far the most well prepared for the showing. Even though we have moved in, Scott is still helping us with recommendations for various services! We would recommend Scott to anyone.
Scott and his team provided excellent service when we put our house up for sale in late Feb/early March 2020. Despite the pandemic kicking in right after the sales agreement was signed, Scott kept things moving along to a successful on-time closing on May 1. In terms of details, Scott recommended a good price which was in line with our thoughts, and resulted in a sale just within two weeks of going on the market. His staging team did a good job of helping us clean up the house to appeal to buyers, and the photography did a great job of presenting the home very favorably. We used several recommended professionals from Scott, including the attorney who handled our end of the sale. Overall, Scott provided excellent client service, responding quickly when we had questions, issues, or concerns - even to the point of helping me move a dryer up the basement stairs! I would definitely recommend Scott to anyone looking to sell or buy a home in our area.
Scott is simply the best agent I have worked with in my long life of buying houses as part of a military family.
