Scott has tried to charge me for communicating with him after 5 pm through my portal. He has also charged me when he has to talk to technicians to come to the house. He let me go without heat for a week in 20 degree weather. He doesn't answer his phone and then tries to ble his tenants for not communicating. My house had a severe electrical problem that nearly caused a fire and Scott was completely unavailable and then refused to fix necessary components in the house.
Poor and untimely communication, hard to reach, focused on trying to be right vs trying to understand. We felt like we a burden and a hassle through the whole process. I am a professional photographer and chose to do my own pictures, which he was fine with, however, I included panorama's and video which he did not use, even when I asked him to. Our address was also wrongly advertised. He told us that it couldn't be put in another way - even though when we bought the home it was advertised correctly. We waited days, sometimes over a week to hear back from him via text. We constantly felt disconnected and unsure of where we were at during the process. He seemed to be on vacation a lot! When the house was put on the market - we were not alerted and almost missed a walk-thru. The house did sell, though, so there's that.
I was not impressed with Scott at all.I wanted to sell my house as is and I let him know that, He put in a higher price so that we could go down on it. Someone did offer to pay that price but only if I fixed the place up. I expressed to Scott that I didn't have that kind of money and he didn't even listen to me just told me to do it anyway so we could sell it. I felt like he didn't work for me but worked for the buyer. When I had an issue with the other realtors coming and showing my house and leaving my doors unlocked and leaving them open, I called him and he was rude about it. Said we all make mistakes and he couldn't be there all the time to make sure it didn't happen again. I still had my personal stuff in my house and he acted like it was no big deal. I had to borrow money to fix it up and came out with less money for my house then I expected. I felt like he only cared for what he was getting out of it. This was my first time selling a house and when I had questions and would call him, he talked like he was above me and I didn't like how he talked to me. You would have to leave a message and wait for him to call back, and was out of town most of the time. Like I said, I didn't feel like he was working for me, but me working for him and he didn't care as long as he got his Money.
We first met Scott Deaton January 2020 and was very impressed with his knowledge! We needed to sale our current home and purchase our dream home. Then the pandemic came! I'm very happy to say if you follow his guidance and directives, you will be forever grateful and you will reach your goal. I highly recommend Vuong as a real estate agent. He has extensive, up-to-date knowledge of the local market. He showed us many houses over several months. At every showing, he arrived early and with much appreciated enthusiasm. During the entire home buying process, he was responsive and provided useful advice. Due to his knowledge of the local market, he negotiated a fair deal for us and the sellers.
Scott worked very quickly and kept us informed throughout the process. His pricing is great for individuals selling larger homes. His fee for his services saved us a lot of money. We really loved the use of text to approve individual showings. I wish we would have listed the home for more but taking his advice on the pricing resulted in our home being under contract in less than 2 weeks. Closing was a breeze and stress free! I would highly recommend him.
Wow! What an amazing experience. It is hard to believe how fast our home sold. Our home sold in only 9 days of being on the market. Scotts ability to market a home in the Central Arkansas area is second to none. He managed to line up several showings of our home in a short amount of time. Very knowledgeable and professional. With his help our family was also able to find a new home that best suited our needs. I could not imagine going though this process without someone like Scott. It is easy to see why he has been chosen as one of Central Arkansas best realtors.
