We were very fortunate to have Scott Campbell as our selling and buying agent. He spent hours answering our questions, providing objective data and good advice on how to list our home. We were concerned that our house, which was a three family, located on a busy thoroughfare with street parking would be tough to sell. Scott made the process incredibly easy and took extra steps, like having professional photographs taken along with a unique video walk through. When we saw our listing we were blown away. Our listing looked amazing and knocked out the competition. We had an offer for asking price within six hours of listing. Scott was always on our side patiently working to make our house purchase as simple and successful as possible. He returned texts and calls very timely. He was always more focused on answering our questions and finding homes that met our needs than he was on closing a deal. Every time we viewed a new property he would perform an inspection, looking for signs of problems and commenting on the quality of construction, finish, appliances, etc. When we found our desired home, Scott was also able to negotiate our price down in a hot market. We would recommend him to anyone!

1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?

Lets review the sold comps with regards to making an offer. What the current market conditions in order to structure the offer. Hot market might suggest coming in at asking price or above if its the house you truly want. There are many variables in structuring the offer. I would see what the sellers plans are, like need longer closing date, shorter closing date. Knowing all the facts when making an offer can be a win win situation.

2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?

Pricing the property in the market is the most important piece to selling your home. Sometimes we can go a little higher because of a very strong selling market . Condition prior to putting it on the market. Condition and a little updating or staging can make all the difference to getting the house ready to go on the market.

3) What types of clients have you worked with?

I have worked with first time home buyers, Professional sports players,CEO's of many major companies, various buyers and sellers of any price range. My knowledge of the real estate industry is very helpful with all price ranges.

4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?

I Listed and sold an Equestrian property on Lake Michigan in Grafton WI. I was worried how it would go because the buyer had a 45 day home inspection. The seller didn't want any part of that amount of time. I talked to my seller indicating that there are bluff inspections, a large residence,indoor riding arena,barn, conditional permit use that needed to be approved by the township because it was granted to this seller and is not automatic that a new buyer gets it, but likely they will. How did it go? Perfect and closed early as well. Patience and being calm to let everything fall into to place is the best way to handle a transaction. I also love working with first time home buyers. They love my knowledge and detailed work during the transaction.

5) How did you get started in Real Estate?

I was going to college my first year and during the 80's recession I started to do Open houses for a developer that had a project with 13 condo town-homes that needed to be sold. I sat at the open houses Saturday and Sundays , did homework and walked people through. I actually sold all the units during some rough times in the market and the developer said I should go into real estate sales. So I did and have been pretty successful to this day!

6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?

I have ton of training and education in various real estate courses . Re max has provided me with excellent tools to work with that benefit me in serving my customers with excellent service and great results.
