I am a born-and-raised Chico native and second generation RealtorA(R) with a big love for my hometown! I was recently voted Best of Chico realtor for for 2016 and 2017 for two consecutive years and am constantly humbled by the opportunity to work for the best clients in the world. I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degree at Chico State and I take pride in my roots and community. Growing up around words like, "fiduciary duty," "escrow," and "amortize," I've had the rare opportunity to observe the inner workings of the buying and selling process in the Chico market for over a decade. Buying and selling can be very intimidating, overwhelming, and challenging. But fear not! I'm here to make these significant moments in your life exciting, satisfying, and seamless! I'm committed to your needs, but most importantly, I strive to be connected to who you are in the most professional and personal way. Give me a call! Day or night, I'm always here.

FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Talking to a mortgage lender should be the number one priority. Ask your agent who they would recommend based on the current market. Who you work with matters in a small community! Your realtor will suggest a series of loan officers who will make you stand out as a borrower. In a competitive real estate market with hundreds of buyers racing to write an offer, you want to do everything you can to be the most competitive buyer. Your realtor will make suggestions on how you can stand out!
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Listen to your agent's preparation advice. Don't rush the process, unless your agent gives compelling reason for why you should get the home on the market quickly. First impressions with buyers is extremely important. Take the time to complete the recommended check-list that your agent customizes for you.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with seasoned investors, cash buyers, first-time home buyers, listings vested in a trust, homes owned by several family members seeking to sell, you name it! I take pride in working with a diverse client base to keep me well-rounded as a realtor.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I had clients who bought a home less than 1 year ago. They unexpectadly were afforded an unbeatable job opportunity in Colorado that they could not pass up. Having owned their Chico home for less than 1 year, they were extremely nervous that they would lose on the sale of their home. They had purchased their home 10 months ago for $350,000, and in the 10 months time they owned it, no upgrades were done by them. When I met with them to discuss listing their home, I explained the turn in the Butte County Market, and suggested a list price of $425,000. They were utterly amazed by my recommendation, but did not hesitate to take my advice. When it came time to get the property on the market, we came in strong with our marketing efforts: took professional photographs, made the listing a premiere featured home on Zillow, had raffles and prizes for the open house, and beyond. Within 1 week, we acquired an out-of-area buyer who purchased the home $10,000 ABOVE asking price. There is no more joy for me than seeing the happiness on my client's faces, when their highest dreams come true. Our transaction made their move entirely stress-free, exciting, and afforded them the opportunity to look forward to their new beginnings in Colorado.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
My mother was and still is a real estate broker in the Chico area. Growing up, from my teenage years and onto college, I acted as her transaction coordinator, media editor, and copywriter. After finishing graduate school, I went into real estate because it allowed me the opportunity to meld my writing and communication skills with all of the real estate experience I had acquired under my mother's management. Moreover, it gave me the chance to redefine what a realtor is. No slimy car salesman here! My highest goal is to be committed to my client's needs, and connected to who they are as people, clients, and friends.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Nothing is worse than hiring an agent who can't write a dazzling sentence to describe the features of your home. Or an agent who doesn't understand the importance of crafting a rhetorically emotional letter on behalf of you as the buyer to a prospective seller in an incredibly competitive real estate market. My Master's Degree in English and Editing and Publishing Certificate has taught me that communication is the king! Whether I'm explaining complicated terms and contracts to clients, writing letters on their behalf, or tailoring listing descriptions to a world-wide-web audience, my education has served me well in this industry.

As a newcomer to Chico, I was referred to Sabrina by my brother, who has lived here for years. It was the best recommendation I could have received! If you are looking for a real estate agent who is as knowledgeable as she is dedicated, look no further than Sabrina Chevallier. As newcomers to Chico, we quickly realized that Sabrina is a pillar of the local community. It seemed like everyone we metaEUR"from the bank and title company to other agents at open housesaEUR"knew her by name and spoke of her with the highest respect. From day one, she was an incredible educator. She didn't just show us properties; she taught us everything we needed to know about the process and homeownership. She connected us with an excellent lending officer and inspector, making the entire experience seamless. Even though she wasn't the listing agent on our home, she worked tirelessly with the other party to close the deal. Sabrina is truly the best in the business, and her deep ties to this community make her an unstoppable advocate for her clients!

Sabrina is AMAZING! Off the rating scale in all categories. She listened to me and found exactly what I was looking for. Home buying is not an easy process but she made it easier and looked out for me every step of the way. She responded to my endless questions almost immediately and if she didnt know the answer, she knew where to go to get it. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely awesome, Sabrina surpassed all expectations. I had talked to two other realtors who were nice but I knew right away that Sabrina would sell my house and she didn't disappoint. It got a little complicated near the end with some last minute repairs but Sabrina was always prepared for whatever might come up and knew what needed to be done next.

Sabrina was incredible to work with as my realtor. She was the only one who contacted me back and remained super responsive, even when she was out of the country. As a first-time buyer, I had a lot of questions, but Sabrina was knowledgeable, patient, and guided me through the entire process. She also skillfully negotiated with the seller to ensure the necessary repairs were done on my house so I didn't have to take them on. I can't recommend Sabrina enough, she truly goes above and beyond!
