ZillowVERIFIEDRyan was the listing agent on my property. He was very aggressive to earn my business but once I signed I never seen him again. He does have a system in place that sends out weekly updates and follow up phone calls every now and then.My home sold in about a month to a couple that made it as far as the home inspection. I asked Ryan if anyone needed to be home while the inspection happened and he said NO. Once we got home we realized the Buyers Inspector raised the carpet to get into our crawl space and spilled a bottle of white paint we had in the closet. The paint spilled on my husbands new winter jacket, my wedding dress and ruined a luggage we had in the closet. The Inspector then took the luggage out to our deck and stained our floor and our deck.When I contacted Ryan he basically said you need to break three eggs to make an omelet. That was like a slap in the face to me. To make matters worse the buyer ended up canceling the deal.After getting no where with Ryan, I reached out to the Attorney he suggested we use for the sale of the home Adam Heiman. We proceeded with a letter back to the buyers attorney and agent looking for reimbursements (taking money from their earnest money) they turned around and said the paint was already spilled. HOW!!!! no way....This turned into a mess I ultimately decided to sign over the earnest money and learn from this experience. Attorney Adam Heiman billed me $100.00 for the correspondence between him and the buyers attorney. At hat point i couldn't believe my personal property was damaged and I was getting a bill. I had a conversation with Ryan a few weeks later and asked for him to pay the attorney fees and 50.00 for a luggage. At this point the money did not matter as much as doing the right thing by your customer.The attorney ended up waiving the $100.00. The Inspection incident happens 5/28/19 today is 7/26/19 and im still waiting for Ryans check.
