He makes sure you have all the details you need to make decisions, but he will only offer his opinion when asked. It is also helpful that he has some construction background, so when we were looking at homes, he was able to tell us if things were constructed well or not, and if we wanted to do any renovation on a particular house, he could give us a ballpark estimate on what that might cost. He also has tons of contacts in every field we needed (home insurance, inspectors, roofers, etc.).
