My aim is to be your REALTOR for life. My reason for being in Real Estate: There are many reasons why I enjoy helping people with their real estate needs. Perhaps the most obvious is the deep satisfaction that comes from helping people to realize their dreams, as well as helping them through the major transition that accompanies selling, buying and moving. Another reason is that selling real estate is a real learning process. No two clients are the same, no two listings are the same and no two deals are the same. Each has its own characteristics and challenges. However, it is particularly through over coming the challenges that I learn the lessons that enable me to improve my quality of service. 1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
If you are a 1st time home owner, take a 1st time homeowners Program to get the education and knowledge you'll need to get through the buying process. Also get a pre-qualification letter from the bank so you know what price range to be looking in.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
De-clutter, through cleaning of home inside and out, especially windows, rugs, and repaint walls that are marked up or painted unusual colors. Get rid of trash and debris.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
All kinds and from many different states, 1st timers, 2nd home people, repeat buyers and sellers, investors, etc.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I helped a young couple buy their first home. I have known the wife since she was just a teenager; she is the daughter of my next door neighbor, so it was especially pleasing to have helped to get them into their own home and see their smiling faces at the closing table.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
Originally I was in Property Management, and when I relocated to the North Country, there were no Property manager positions open and I was having a hard time fining a job, so it was suggested that I try real estate. The woman that suggested it had known me for a while through my prior job and said I was good with people. Since I had taken and passed the real estate exam in Massachusetts (but never did real estate) and I had kept up to date with classes, it was easy to just transfer to NH and take the state portion of the exam.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
The Real Estate Commission requires all active agents to take on going classes and training for real estate, and our licenses are renewed very two years, so I usually take more classes than I need to keep on top of the business and the constant changes that occur. So I have a wide range of education that helps me be knowledgeable to sellers and buyers.
