What clients say about this agent....
We had a very bad experience with Russ. He repeatedly told us that he was representing us as our buyer agent and did not inform us that he was actually working as a subagent for the seller until very late in the process. I do not know whether this was intentional or an oversight, but I feel that it severely disadvantaged us in every aspect of our sale. I noticed another person say in a review that it seemed like Russ was practically working for the seller. Buyer beware, he might be! Ask for the legally required disclosures about agency at your first meeting with Russ and do not accept any excuses about not entering into an agency agreement.
Choose Russell Carter as your Realtor for exceptionally professional, knowledgable, and attentive service. I selected Russell as my realtor after witnessing his work as my sisters realtor. He is knowledgeable about DC neighborhoods and provides nuanced context for down payment assistance programs. Additionally, Russells name and reputation is warmly received with his ability to coordinate with other parties to close deals. I would receive follow up correspondence within a business day to all requests that I sent to Russell. He communicates swiftly and with desired clarity via all modalities of written and oral communication. Russell represented me with sage wisdom and attention to what I desired as a buyer. Without any reservations, I highly recommend working with Russell Carter for your Real Estate needs. Have a marvelous experience!
Working with Robert has been an exceptional experience. He guided me through the buying process of my first home and also the selling process. He has been a wonderful Real Estate Agent and was there through all the highs and low. Robert is an amazing negotiator and always puts his clients interest first. Robert is very honest and upfront with you while being very respectful. If you are looking for an agent that is responsive, knowledgeable and has integrity look no further. Give Robert Morris a call!
Russ was proactive and kept things on track for the most part. He is knowledgeable about first time homebuyer programs. I am fairly detailed/process oriented; Russ was patient and adapted, which was a plus. I appreciated how he listened to my needs and preferences - some neighborhoods were non-negotiable and he never sent me listings for those neighborhoods. He also adapted to my desire to only work with one inspector in particular. Overall, my home search with Russ was less stressful than with previous realtors.
Russ Carter was great during my house buying process as a first-time buyer. For a year and a half in search for a home, Russ was there the whole way guiding me in the right direction, as well as being patience with my specific home needs. Everything I needed, Russ took care of in a timely manner which I appreciated. Overall, I had a great experience with Russ and I would recommend him.
In the mist of searching for a realtor, I had a difficult time selecting who was the best fit for me. Thereafter, meeting with Russ my search was over!!! I worked with Russ Carter, to purchase my first home and he was absolutely GREAT! There are not enough good things to say about him. He was super knowledgeable, approachable, personable, endlessly patient, and incredibly generous with his time (including mornings, evenings, personal vacations, and weekends over the course of the entire home buying process). He answered every question and explained every single document needed for me to sign, when it came time to put a contract on a home. Buying a home in Washington, DC is the most challenging because, the purchase prices are extremely expensive. Working with Russ and his team (Senate Realty) made it as painless and straightforward as possible. I would highly recommend him to help you complete you home purchase.
Russ Carter is an exceptional realtor and the true mark of a professional! My husband and I were connected with Russ through Senate Realty, which came highly recommended by a few DC homeowners we know. We were excited to hear that Russ and Senate Realty were able to help us purchase a home in Laurel, MD. Russ was very knowledge about the communities and homes we explored in and around the Laurel/Bowie area. He knew important details like additional taxes levied in certain communities. He even knew more nuanced details like the builder of a home with a particular architecture and the locations of that same type of home in residential communities through the State. When we were ready to put in an offer, Russ worked quickly and pulled string behind the scenes to make sure that our offer was the winning offer. As we approached closing, Russ applied pressure on our lender to make sure that we were not disadvantaged by our lenders sloppy underwriting process. At all times, Russ was patient, accommodating and courteous - it was an absolute joy working with him. If you are looking to buy or sell a home, I highly recommend that you use Russ as your realtor - you will not be disappointed!
I don't recommend the team approach, which they use. The left hand does not often know what the right hand is doing. Also, bring your own inspector and avoid using the one they recommend or it may be very costly for you at the end of the day!!!

I don't recommend this Realtor. Once the commission check is received, don't expect any real assistance, just a bunch a "lip service". Also, if you do choose this realtor, make sure you bring your own inspector, and don't trust promises about the fact that you will be covered by a warranty, because this is just a ploy to get the sale. I currently have an open complaint with the DCRA about this purchase. I was sold a home where the emergency water shut off does not work and the inspector that this realtor recommended and then defended when I brought the issue to his attention, missed this major issue. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
