About Robert Benson

Associate Broker (20 years experience) Hello and thanks for visiting my FastExpert profile. I am a 2nd Generation Native South Floridian. My grandparents moved here in the 1940's during the first construction boom of Miami Beach. My grandfather sold plumbing fixtures, toilets, and toilet seat covers to hotel developers with the slogan "tops for bottoms" - no kidding!! My family and I have seen the burgeoning of the Greater Miami Dade/Broward region become the international hub that it is today. After graduating high school I went to Atlanta to attend Emory University for 4 years. After my graduation with a BBS in Finance/Accounting, I stayed in Atlanta for 6 years working as a CPA for a large regional accounting firm, Jones & Kolb CPA's. It is at this firm that I attained my CPA license in the State of Georgia. During my CPA years, I dabbled in real estate investment and development in Atlanta and attained my real estate sales person's license there. Family responsibilities brought me back to Fort Lauderdale where I continued my career in real estate and I have been selling residential real estate since the year 2000. My combined real estate experience in construction, sales, and my finance background make me a perfect mix to help you with your real estate needs. I enjoy the vast varieties of plants here in South Florida and I am an avid gardener. I also enjoy swimming, tennis and raising my two miniature schnauzers Sammie and Wolfie. He was very knowledgeable about the current housing market in our area and was able to sell our house very quickly at a price we were happy to get. We started looking at a second home with Bob here in Fort Lauderdale a few years ago. We unfortunately had to stop looking due to Covid, once Covid restrictions were relaxed a little we decided to sell our NYC condo and move permanently to Ft. Lauderdale and of course we had to reach out to Bob for help. Bob is such a great person and a great realtor. We were so happy to find him the first time around. He was super patient with us and was not pushy at all. Bob showed us quite a few places that included single family homes, townhomes and condos before we decided on this unit.
