About Rhonda Garrison
As a Central Oregon native, Rhonda has intimate knowledge of the area. She has spent 18 years excelling in the competitive local real estate market, establishing a reputation as a well-respected and innovative agent. Known for her savvy negotiations, uncompromising integrity, and cutting-edge marketing strategies, she has built her business on communication, dedication, and transparency. The continued expansion of her business prompted the addition of her daughter, Brittany as buyer specialist. The Garrison Group's Buyer Specialist, Brittany Barton, was born and raised in Bend as well. Moving away for a brief time to obtain bachelor's Degrees from Oregon State University helped her recognize her love for Central Oregon and desire to raise a family in her hometown. Brittany has not only gained experience from growing up watching Rhonda excel as a broker, but has also held various positions in real estate since moving back in 2009 including: office administrative staff, transaction coordinator, and marketing director. She worked as an elementary teacher for a period as well, which she feels has been invaluable in gaining the interpersonal skills she has today. Brittany believes that a high level of communication and making genuine lasting connections with the people she works with-clients, fellow realtors, and the local community- is the key to success in this industry. She hopes to be a valuable resource and support system to each of her clients throughout transactions and well after. The mother/daughter duo have 30 years combined experience in the real estate industry and strongly value family, friends, and the power of creating deep roots within their community. 1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Hire an experienced Buyers agent to represent. There is no cost and it is important to have your own representation seperate from the sellers representative.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Hire an experienced agent. Ask about their marketing, do they use a professional photographer as opposed to taking your homes pictures with their phone! What is their sales production? How do they plan to communicate?
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
all types! First time home Buyers, Veterans, second home Buyers, Sellers of every price range, there is no buyer too small or too big!
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I have been very fortunate this year as nearly all my transactions have been noteworthy in a positive way.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I started by buying my first home when I was 20 years old. I decided then that it was a career I was interested in. It took me many more years before I was ready to invest the time (I had small children) and money (it’s a business like any other start up). I wanted to devote everything I could to being not just a good realtor but to provide knowledge and exceptional customer service.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Over the years I have taken nearly every educational course offered to improve my knowledge of real estate transactions. All transactions are different and through my experience I have dealt with some pretty difficult and sometimes unique situations. I consider this the “on the job training in the school of hard knocks”! Nothing comes as a surprise to me anymore and there is no situation that I can’t handle.
