Rafael was our agent for finding our first apartment upon moving to NYC, and we had a great experience, so we were definitely going to ask him to help us purchase an apartment about a decade later. He was fantastic--warm, patient, informative, firm in negotiations, and I will even say, wise. We had to switch away from our initial choice of apartments which was kind of a torment, but he handled everything effortlessly. We definitely felt like we had someone excellent in our camp and would happily recommend him. He's excellent with communication, has a broad eye on properties in the area we worked with (and over much of the broader area as well), is very well known and respected in the industry, has an eagle eye for quirks with apartments that could cause trouble (caught something for us during our final walk-through), and has a great sense of what properties might suit his clients. A million stars!
