About Rachel Smith

Hailing from Oklahoma nearly a decade ago-- Portland quickly became home. I immersed myself into a welcoming community and lush scenery. This city gave me the love of history, art, thrifting, architecture, and sparked my interest in Mid Century to antique restoration. My background is in design & upholstery, project management, and in the service industry which have given me a knack for communication and enjoyment of working with others. The longer I have been in Portland I feel like I am no longer just living in a city, I am living in a city I pay attention to, where I literally wake up to smell the roses in N Portland and set foot to making more memories and helping others do the same. As your agent I will work efficiently and confidently alongside you, ensuring you a beautiful, memorable experience. My focus will be on being your advocate, listening to you, understanding your wants and needs, attention to detail, and finding you the right property for the right price. If I am not with a client I am typically thrifting outside of Portland, eating at all the local restaurants, helping to raise awareness amongst my community, working events for nonprofits, supporting tradeswomen of Portland, or planning the next wholesome road trip.

Rachel helped my husband and me buy a home in Portland while we were living out-of-state. We are experienced home buyers and have high expectations, which Rachel and their colleague Aneesah exceeded! Each time we visited Portland, they facilitated tours of various neighborhoods and explained the pros and cons based on the many criteria we had identified we were looking for in a home / community. Rachel and / or Aneesah facilitated both in-person and virtual tours of 20ish homes and shared thoughtful insights regarding the fit of the home. In the end, it was Rachel's relationship skills that enabled our bid to win an amazing home, despite another potential buyer outbidding us. Though we have closed on our hoome, Rachel and Aneesah continue to identify and facilitate interactions with contractors, movers, etc. to help with our transition process. And they are both amazing, enjoyable individuals to spend time with!

We got to know Rachel through a referral and she was extremely attentive and proactive from day 1. Rachel took the time to understand our needs and helped us to search for the right properties. Then, she worked with our schedule to arrange the showing, and moved on to help us put together an offer. During the escrow period, Rachel stayed on top of things the entire time to ensure a smooth process and also went the extra miles to help us arrange things since we were out of town.
