About Philip Loseby

Phil Loseby has called Alaska home since 1984 and Juneau his home since 1990. Originally from Vermont, Phil completed his Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Montana and began his career in education as the first-grade teacher in Craig, Alaska in 1984. Since that time, he has only left Alaska to pursue a Master's Degree in Reading, Language, and Learning Disabilities and then later to pursue a Doctorate degree in Reading Education. Phil has worked as a classroom teacher for 20 years and as an administrator for 17. In his 37-year career in education, he has worked with thousands of Juneau students and hundreds of families. During this time, Phil has earned a reputation for honesty, professionalism, and integrity. Working as a licensed REALTOR(R), Phil carries on the same high level of commitment and service to his clients that he did with his students and families as an educator. Phil met his wife, Susan, while attending graduate school. Susan, who was born and raised in New Jersey, says that Phil "romanced" her into coming to Juneau based on his photographs of this wild and beautiful place and with his stories of outdoor adventures. Phil and Susan were married in 1995 and chose to return to and sink roots in Juneau as it is a wonderful community to raise a family. Together, Phil and Susan are raising five children--three biological sons and two adopted daughters (one from Vietnam and the other from China). In 2007 Phil started his own photography business, Philip H Loseby Photography. In the past several years, Phil has specialized in photographing homes for many of Juneau's most successful real estate brokerages--a unique skill that he brings to his clients. Phil is diligent and passionate about working together with his clients through the various elements of buying or selling a home in Juneau. He believes that knowledgeable guidance, mutual trust, and genuine honesty are among the most important components of successful transactions; Phil is committed to ensuring that his clients experience exceptional real estate services while upholding the stellar, service-oriented reputation that the Platinum Keller Williams Realty team has earned.
