The house-buying process in this market is pretty painful, not fun and easy like the old days, and buying a foreclosure or a short sale is a long, frustrating process. Paula was always willing to help me focus and stay on plan and not give up, although I certainly wanted to many, many times. Ten or so offers I made over four months tanked before I actually managed to buy a house--usually thanks to investors with cash or someone with a bigger down payment---the competition out there for limited inventory is incredible. Paula was available right from the get go and was informative & responsive to our questions & needs. she didnt send us 100's of links to random homes, but rather sent us a select handful that met the characteristics of the home we were looking for. she was very friendly, very flexible & spent time looking at homes with us and even researched homes we happened upon while driving around looking. in the end we ended up in exact house we wanted that was "off the market" and already in the selling process with another buyer. because she was able to quickly read up on the status & find out that the house we wanted had a slight opportunity for us to put in an offer. we were able to move into our new home in about a month. it felt like a rollercoaster to us, but Paula was able to calm & reassure us the whole ride.
