About Paul Burrowes

I bring fifteen years of experience in real estate, excellent customer service and a commitment to work hard, listen and follow through. I provide quality service to build relationships with clients and more importantly, maintain those relationships by communicating effectively. As a principal in a real estate investment and development group over the past 15 years, I've been responsible for overall leadership, growth, direction, cash management and strategic planning for a number of real estate projects, and I know how to maximize positive outcomes for all of the parties involved in the transaction. My projects have included minor-land subdivisions, urban infill projects, affordable housing, condo and townhouse projects, planned developments, tax credits, residential projects, and the only conservation bank in Santa Cruz County. I have worked with Federal, State, County, and City elected officials on land use planning, planned development, zoning, permitting, conservation law, community involvement, and environmental and ecological assessment. I consult with real estate professionals, attorneys, architects, civil engineers, surveyors, financial institutions, investors and contractors to verify design studies, plans and cost estimates; this experience makes me effective in studying and evaluating real estate property, raw land and/or rehab for residential or commercial use. My experience developing available market studies with local, state, and federal planning organizations ensures finding the best use for a property. I collaborate with local green building manufacturers and contractors to implemented sustainable building practices in development projects. I work with residential property seller & buyers as well as builders & developers. My 3 promises: 1. I will be on time. 2. I will be brutally honest. 3. I co-founded a Silicon Valley engineering and technical career fair, publications, and internet company in 1982 and sold it to a national firm in 2000, since then I've been working in real estate. I have lived in the Scotts Valley area for 28 years and enjoy my family, hiking, biking, golf, kayaking and guitar. Member Chamber of Commerce and Exchange Club.

I called Paul recently as my Mother's home was listed with another realtor and had very few showing. I asked Paul to list the property for me and he was quickly on top of things with his marketing strategy. Once he had the broker's open. that was it! We had an excellent offer in a few short days. I feel so lucky to have Paul Burrows as my real estate agent!! He took great care of me from the start--patiently driving me around all over Santa Cruz county, introducing me to different areas and explaining the pros and cons. He helped guide me in making good choices about houses (tactfully pointing out when I was being more hopeful than realistic about the possibilities of a "fixer", for example, and saving me from making a big mistake!) When we found the right house, he did an outstanding job of representing me--making sure I got a great value for a house I now live in and love! The whole process was so much less frustrating than it might have been (home-buying can be exasperating, especially in such a crazy market) because of Paul's excellent guidance. I would recommend him without qualification to anyone looking to buy or sell their home in the Santa Cruz area.
