1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?

Before a prospective homeowner can begin the quest towards purchasing a home, there are many factors to consider, most of which are determined by some basic facts and assumptions. How big is your family? What neighborhoods are you willing to consider? Are schools a factor? Is a single-family home a requirement or is a condo an option? Based on your income and assets, what kind of home can you afford? Getting pre-approved is key first step.

2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?

Price your home accurately. First impressions matter, and the living room is typically the first major room that buyers see. So it’s no place for your kid's ... Consider home staging to boost your selling power and appeal.

3) What types of clients have you worked with?

First Time Home Buyers, New Construction, Bank Owned Properties, Short Sale, Downsizing, Relocation Companies, Condominiums & Patio Homes.

4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?

I am honored that my clients trust me enough to get them through any problems. I recently had a deal almost fall apart because of my buyers income. I was able to talk to one of my referred lenders and asked if she would qualify for a MCC credit. Not many lenders are aware of this discount. This helps clients take a deduction off their taxes during the year, in which their paychecks are increased. Again, this is not going to hurt them when they file their taxes. My client was very appreciated and she was approved and we closed on the house. She has sent me several referral since she moved in.

5) How did you get started in Real Estate?

Before entering into real estate I worked closely with real estate attorneys at two large law firms, Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs also Stites & Harbison, over the last 18 years. I enjoy helping clients find the home of their dreams. I love that my client trust me to help them with one of the biggest investments they will make.

6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?

At my brokerage firm they are serious about training. We have training classes we can attend everyday. There is always something to learn. Along with my continue education requirements each year, I take additional training course through the Great Louisville Association of Realtors.
