I worked with Amanda during the incredibly competitive COVID-19 Real Estate Market from Nov. 2021 through July 21,2022. She represented me as a buyer and worked very hard to help me find a home near my son, who lives in Chestnut Hill, PA. I currently live in Miami, Florida and will be relocating to Mt Airy, PA in October to the beautiful home Amanda helped me purchase located 1 mile from my son!Amanda was effective, professional, SUPER patient and never pushy. She has outstanding communication skills, and promptly responded to all my texts, emails and/or calls. In the nine months we worked together, my criteria for the home search changed a lot as I got to know the different suburbs near my son's home. Amanda created a file with parameters that she adjusted as my criteria changed. As soon as a home meeting my criteria became available, I would get a notification and I would have access to the listing. In this market, the list included a lot of Coming Soon Homes. We saw several homes in person, but the vast majority of them were seen virtually via FaceTime, since I am in Miami and often times, homes would sell before I could get the chance to hop on a plane to see it in person. Amanda worked very well and accommodated my sons and daughter in law's schedules as they often went with her to see the homes when I could only see them virtually. Amanda possesses a thorough understanding of the current real estate market in the greater Philadelphia area. She also maintains excellent relationship with fellow realtors both from Compass as well as other real estate firms. These two skills make her an effective negotiator when it comes to preparing a highly attractive offer. A lot more than price ($) goes into making an offer. Amanda gently explained the pros and cons of other factors that could enhance or adversely affect my offer. We got the house I wanted and beat 11 other offers without going over my budget!Once your offer is accepted, your realtor still has a lot of work to do on your behalf in order to close on your new home. Here again, Amanda was diligent, educational, and ultimately effective, facilitating the execution of the many different elements included but not limited to : helping me find Homeowners Insurance, working closely with Title Company, asking sellers technical questions to help me prepare for the move (e.g current internet provider, landscape company, etc) ,and following up with me to make sure all "i"s were dotted and all "t"s were crossed in order to close on time.My daughter and son in law will be relocating from NJ to the Philly area next Summer and I can't wait for Amanda to help them find their new home next Spring. Amanda was an excellent realtor and I look forward to having her as a friend when I move to Philly in October.
