With 18 years' experience in residential sales, I understand that buying or selling a home is a complex, sophisticated, and often deeply personal endeavor. I attribute my success not only to my passion for homes, but also to my intuition regarding the psychology of Real Estate On a personal note, I hold a bachelor's degree in Business; but in terms of Real Estate, I will never consider my education complete. I continually invest time, money, and thought into the latest sales and marketing techniques, technology and continuing education. I am also a member of the Gloucester & Salem Counties Board of Realtors, and the New Jersey Association of Realtors, and I believe very strongly in the Realtor Code of Ethics. 1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Even if you're just beginning your home search, be sure to begin by getting a Mortgage Pre-Approval Letter. Doing this up front allows you and your agent to focus on homes that are within budget, and which qualify for your type of financing.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
First, de-clutter and de-personalize. You want to make your potential Buyer feel like they are viewing a model, no matter what price range you are in! Remember - everyone watches HGTV nowadays, and that colors their expectations and preferences. Second, although you may have an emotional attachment to your home, try to view the selling process from a business standpoint, not an emotional one - it will help yo ultimately make the best financial decision for your ultimate goals.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
All types! Buyers, Sellers, 1st-timers, Up-Sizers, Down-Sizers, people selling and buying simultaneously, and Investors!
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I recently helped a young couple purchase their first home, just before their wedding! There were the usual bumps in the road along the way, including a low appraisal, but I negotiated the price down, and they ultimately settled, and started their life together : )
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
In 2004, I experienced a life-changing situation that made me re-evaluate my goals and future plans. I knew I wanted to pursue a career with truly unlimited growth potential, so I jumped right into Real Estate!
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I hold a BSBA degree from Thomas Edison State University, where I studied business and entrepreneurship. This allows my to be savvy and creative in running my business and also in helping my clients!
