We even listed it a week earlier than planned due to Nicolas correct assessment of the changing rates in the home-buying world. Besides all of the great advice, Nicola and her staff were able to arrange the professional services of flooring and gardening contractors to get the house ready. Since we had easily agreed to the steps needed to bring the house to market, the navigation of the paperwork in advance of the listing and throughout the aEURoeshowingaEUR? period - and the negotiation with the interested parties was seamless and made quite easy for us. We ended up with sale yielding more than we had listed the house for, and were very pleased with the final sale terms. She brings great expertise to knowledge to the table. She was very instrumental in selling our home and helping us find a larger home at a time that was very challenging for our family.In July of 2021, we were planning on looking for a larger home in Monrovia, CA. At the time, we had lived in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath home and we had decided that we needed more space for our pre-teen daughter. In addition to that, we had always wanted to bring our mother-in-law down from Northern California so she could live with us and be with her granddaughter. Unfortunately, during this time, we had received the devastating news that my mother-in-law was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and that she did not have much time left. So, we had made the decision to bring her down to Southern California right away so she could seek treatment at City of Hope. Because of the lack of room we had in our home, the search for a larger home become very urgent.We knew Nicola by her great reputation in the real estate business and in the community. I had met her once a few years back when she had sold a home in our neighborhood. So, we had reached out to her to see if she would be our agent and help us to sell our home and find a new home. I remember having a zoom call with her, explaining our situation to her, and becoming emotional. She responded by telling me that we had nothing to worry about because she would find us a home. She told me that we just needed to focus on my mother-in-law and that she would focus on getting us our new home. When we met with Nicola in person, she was very friendly and personable. But more than that, she had an iron clad strategy for selling and buying our home based on her years of experience. She had milestones and timelines for getting our home ready for sale, putting it on the market, preparing the home for viewing, and receipt and review of bids. I will admit that my husband and I were very nervous about the whole process because we had never sold a home and bought a new home at the same time. Plus, we were very much involved in my mother-in-laws treatments at City of Hope. So, we had a lot on our minds. But Nicola gave us every assurance that everything would work out just fine as long as we stuck to the strategy. Sure enough, everything she laid out in her plan ran like clockwork and went exactly according to plan. By September of 2021, we had sold our home. Then it came time to find our new home. As many of you may have experienced out there, it can be very discouraging when there is very little inventory on the market and many buyers clamoring to find a home. But Nicola aggressively pursued the listings we were interested in. By October 2021, after looking at several homes, she helped us to find a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in the foothills. It was more than we could have imagined and we were so excited to find it. Nicola made the escrow process for both the sale and purchase of our homes very smooth. Again, this was all due to her great expertise.We moved into our new home at the beginning of November 2021. Sadly, however, my mother-in-law passed away around the same time. She never got a chance to see our new home or her new room. I remember sharing the news with Nicola and she was very sympathetic. She was so kind to send us flowers of condolences to our new home. It showed how much she really cares about her clients. We are very thankful to Nicola for not only being a great real estate agent, but for being kind friend as well. At a time that was very crucial for us, she came through for us with flying colors. We would highly recommend Nicola to anyone looking to sell or purchase their home. You will be in very good hands with Nicola.
