About Nancy Bergman
Nancy understands what it is like to be a client. Relocating several times...buying and selling her own properties...Nancy is sensitivity towards her clients' journey. Prior to getting her real estate license, Nancy had a long career in Broadcasting, specializing in media research and promotion in Arizona, Florida and Northern California. She can explain how a TV station operates, and tell you some crazy behind the scene stories in a busy newsroom. In 2007, as a hobby, Nancy began remodeling her own home which sparked an interest in construction. Later, she learned every aspect of building a house to be an "owner- builder", and having two very young children running around a construction zone house. Then in late 2009, Nancy decided to become an investor / property manager. She bought MAJOR fixers to rehabbed and turned into rentals. Since then she has been managing four personal rental properties. Nancy is a huge volunteer at her kids' schools. She serves on the Elk Ridge Middle School PTSA in the Jordan School District. Before moving to Salt Lake City, Nancy served on the Educational Foundation at Black Mountain Middle School and organized the annual Fall Festival. A community event that raises over $50,000 for the school. She was also awarded the Volunteer of the Year at Black Mountain Middle School for the 2018/2019 school year. 1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
For new home buyers, the most important advice is to get pre-approved for a mortgage before starting your search, thoroughly research the market and neighborhoods, understand your budget, get a home inspection, and consider hiring a real estate agent to guide you through the process; also, be sure to factor in closing costs and save for a substantial down payment or ask your Realtor/ Mortgage Lender about buyer programs.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
When selling your home, the most crucial advice is to hire a trusted and reliable real estate agent who's honest with you and the progress. Clean and declutter your space, set a competitive market price, maximize curb appeal, and present your home with high-quality photos to attract potential buyers; remember to depersonalize your space to allow buyers to envision themselves living there, and be prepared to negotiate during the selling process.

4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I met an older woman who never bought a home and she was looking for the "perfect" home. We took our time because she was getting some family money. The house that didn't look good on the MLS and was about to pass on, turned out to be the perfect setting for her. She and I literally sat outside on the patio chatting about her future and life during the showing for an hour. It was meant to be because we are now friends and she loves her new home.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
