1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
To ensure that you connect with a local expert in your area. Do not be afraid to let other agents know, that you need representation that specializes in the specific area you are looking. It is very valuable to buyers, that your agent has extensive knowledge of the area and relationships with the best Lenders and are taking advantage of the best grants/ programs should you qualify for any. The most important thing is someone who will focus on you, be there for you, and support your best interest!
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
There are so many things that go into a successful sale of a home . Starting with a expert , experienced agent who knows the area, and the market and inventory in your neighborhood. Making sure that this agent has relationships with other agents, vendors that can be valuable when selling your home . Do you need to make some repairs, and want to make sure you aren't spending where you don't need to before selling? These are things a knowledgeable agent can assist you with. Also Marketing, Professional Photography, and Staging, or Restyling your home before sale can make a huge difference on your days on market, activity and final sales price many times. There is so much more, than sticking a sign in the yard and uploading photos online. Make sure you hire an agent who is the difference between a top agent and the average agent.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide variety of clients. Buyers who are first time buyers, and those buying a second home, or investment property to flip, or hold and rent. I have worked with seniors looking to downsize, or relocate to assisted living, as well as families looking to upsize and sell their first home and upgrade in size. I have worked with investors who flip homes monthly to first time flippers and guided them through how to flip a home step by step. Trust sales, and families dealing with selling a trust and navigating the legalities of a more complicated sale. I love helping any and all people no matter where you are in your real estate journey! I recently assisted a client into a condo, where she was granted 50k from her lender and made all the difference in her being able to afford her dream home !
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I have many transactions that I am fond of, I recently assisted a firefighter and his wife into their first home, as well as my own brother and his wife into an off market home we found by door knocking the street they wanted to be in. I found my parents their dream vacation home by sending out letters and found another off market home for them and they are in love. I recently found a flip opportunity for an investor who also had me design the flip for him, and facilitate the renovations, and make over 180k in profit after the resale. Each sale has challenges, and each time its rewarding in its own way, because in the end, I get to help my clients to where they want to be in the end.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I worked as a consultant designer, with real estate agents, meeting with sellers, and investors, giving them advice on how to get their home ready for sale, to gain the most profit whether that was through simple declutter/ restyle, or small or large renovations. I also specializing in real estate photography and marketing. I decided to get my license in 2012 and combine my design skills with a real estate license of my own.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Interior design degree, Mortgage loan originator license, and Real Estate license. Extensive on site training with professional investors, trainings on real estate transactions, documents and laws, new NAR laws, and training of new agents over many years.
