Working with Melinda Larson was a joy. I asked for an appointment to view a home. She called me immediately and set up an appointment for the viewing. That house did not suit my needs. From there she took me to two other homes. Neither of those worked for me either. We discussed my particular needs and what worked and did not work for the three homes we viewed. The following day we viewed another home which suited me perfectly. I was working under a time constraint. She always answered my calls in a short time and addressed all of my concerns. She worked with the owner of the home I wanted to buy and also with the buyer of my current house. In two weeks with her diligence the home I was selling and the home I was buying closed. Id like to take a minute to discuss my experiences with Envision Va realty, specifically with Mike and Magali Pattison. My wife and I are 75 years of age. We currently reside in Lancaster County Pa. and have vacationed in Virginia on numerous occasions. Each trip was so enjoyable from the weather to the people (Southern politeness). About two years ago we decided to look into possibly relocating to the Williamsburg or Virginia Beach area. Initially we were just browsing the areas and the types of homes plus of course the cost. We first met Mike on one of our trips and spelled out what we thought would work best for us. Many options were from buying property then building to buying homes in established neighborhoods. My wife and I were leaning towards having a home built. Mike suggested several reputable builders he had dealt with in the past but he did so with some caution. Due to the pandemic and the lack of supplies readily available the cost of construction material had sky rocketed. He recommended a previously owned home and suggested several highly regarded communities. Due to our age and sundry medical issues (tough getting old) we were looking for one level living, minimizing stairs both interior and exterior. We had many priorities and Mike worked with us and did his very best to hone our search. We were at quite a disadvantage as being 6 hours away did not allow us to respond quickly to visit homes and make on sight decisions. Again Mike and Magali would respond by setting up video conferences and tours of homes that we thought might work for us. Mikes knowledge of homes was impressive. There were homes that we thought were perfect and then Mike would point out several issues that could be problematic for us. We relied heavily on Mikes judgement and never once did he disappoint. I am sure there were times Mike must have been frustrated by our ever changing criteria but we never once heard it in his voice or saw it in his manner. He was steadfast in his support and if we seemed to be settling for less than we needed Mike was supportive but always offered wise counsel. We flip flopped so many times on locations, towns, communities that I thought Mike may give up but he never did. The market in our desired area was so hot that at times homes were already under contract or had multiple offers by the time I got to talking with Mike or Magali. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that they would have placed us in our dream home if only we were closer and the market was a bit cooler. We took a few breaks during this period as mortgage rates and seasons affected our desire to relocate during those times. Each time we re-engaged so did Mike with full effort. We have moved and relocated numerous times in our 56 years of marriage and I can honestly say that Mike, Magali and the staff at Envision Va realty is far and away the best service we have ever experienced. Ultimately we have come to the conclusion that we will remain in Pennsylvania and continue to vacation in Virginia. It is difficult to put into words our appreciation of all that EnvisionVa Realty has done for us. I feel as if Mike and Magali are now in our circle of friends.
