This is a long overdue review, but better late than never! And I'm also going out of my way to do this review on a computer so you know this is going to be good! :PI interviewed only two agents: (1) an agent a friend recommended, but was not local and (2) the Mike and Mary Jefarkhani & Lynne Wu team. After I met with Mary and Lynne, there was no doubt I would be using their services. The level of experience, especially in the Woodbury/Irvine area, was incomparable as they have sold the most number of homes in the neighborhood!I first reached out to Mary back in summer of 2019, but decided that timing of selling the house was too rushed so we decided to wait until after the new year. Mary followed up in Jan 2020 and kicked off the process. From the very first meeting, Mary and team responded to every one of my questions in a timely manner. They were professional, great at communicating every step of the process, and also patient. They also had great vendor recommendations for any repairs needed! This was unlike the prior agent I had worked with to buy a home - where I felt like I was just another transaction and responses were harder to come by once the offer was accepted by the seller. I never once felt this way with Mike, Mary, and Lynne. From start to finish, I felt like Mike, Mary, and Lynne were truly trying to get us the best offer for our home.This team also offered staging services which transformed my home! I honestly this is what sold my home for $50k more than the same model home one driveway down. Within the first 4 days on the market, we already had several offers and we accepted an offer on I believe day 6 or 7 for above asking price!Once we were in escrow, Lynne helped me with finding a rental in the area. I was set up with an email alert of all rentals that fit my criteria and whenever I was interested in a rental, Lynne would view the property with me. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY OR SELL A HOME IN IRVINE PLEASE READ THIS!!!This review carries a bit of a unique perspective. Albeit lengthy, I hope the details are helpful in truly showing how great Mike and Mary are and why I highly recommend them. In June 2015, as a regular but informed consumer, my wife and I purchased our first home in Woodbury East in Irvine and we had a great experience working with Mike and Mary. They left us with an impression that this would be our realtor for future transactions because the service was that good. Fast forward a year later, and I took a job at Zillow, where I worked with the top agents on the west coast. Having that professional experience at Zillow really opened my eyes on how inconsistent realtors can be and for lack of a better way to explain it - how many realtors are quite simply put, not good at their jobs. Often times, realtors get a one-off where they sell their rich uncles house and all of a sudden theyre an expert in high-end real estate and an expert in that city. WRONG!!! That is not the type of agent you want to represent you. You want a TRUE EXPERT, someone who dominates an area, someone that TRULY has your best interest in mind and a robust track record of deals in that specific city or zip code(s). Mike and Mary are aEURoethe real dealaEUR? as I like to say. Literally every part of the process they demonstrated that they are in fact the expert. With over $230 Million in transactions in Irvine alone, they have sold more properties on my street than many agents (who claim to be experts in the area) have sold in the entire city of Irvine! How do I know this? Well, another area where Mike and Mary separate themselves from the competition is they dont need fluff, they have the actual numbers to back it up. Mary walked me through the MLS portal and brought up transactions not only in my city but in my development and even on my street. The proof is in the numbers!There is no substitute for this kind of experience. Lastly and certainly worth noting, earlier I mentioned Mike and Mary helped my wife and I buy our home 5.5 years ago, this most recent transaction was selling our home and let me say this very clearly, they claim 5 star service, it was 10 stars!!! My wife took a job on the east coast that required relocation, during this COVID pandemic, so more challenges in showing a home etc...because of Mike and Marys experience and reputation, we didnt even have to list our home. When I approached Mike and Mary about selling our home they immediately had a buyer in mind, again because of their reputation and longstanding experience in this area. We did one private showing and 12 hours later we had a formal offer. And if all this wasnt enough, while in escrow we had to evacuate due to the Silverado Fires. That did not even present a hiccup in the process and we still closed right on time! Mike and Mary, we cannot thank you enough!! If youre buying or selling a home in Irvine, youre doing yourself a disservice if you dont hire Mike and Mary!
