Recently, Michelle Harrington helped us sell and buy a home AGAIN! It all started back in 2006 when my wife and I looked at relocating our family from California to Washington. We contacted a local agent about a specific home, who happened to be Michelle. She offered to show us around and help us find a homeIf we were to fly up to visit Whatcom County. Mechelle asked what we were looking for and got right to work. Upon our visit, Michelle was ready with multiple homes to visit. She even drove us around to multiple sites throughout the county. After two days of looking, we found one that was everything we were looking for in a home. The buying process went well and it was easy to work with Michelle from out of state. Then, in 2008-2009, the aEURoehousing crisisaEUR? hit. We were deeply affected by the interest rates and banking fiasco. We figured we would lose our home and not be able to buy another home for years to come. We called Michelle to see what could be done. She walked us through what needed to be done. Our mortgage was taken over by another bank, who was willing to work with us in selling our home. In such a trying time, Michelle was there to help us sell our home and keep us from foreclosing. For the next 2 years, we rented until our credit would allow us to purchase another home. After two years, we were ready to buy another home and stop throwing money at a rental. We contacted Michelle and once again, she helped us go through the process of looking for and buying a home. There were so many agents in Whatcom County to choose from and we never thought about working with anyone other than Michelle. She knew our experiences and she knew what we liked when it came to buying a home. In 2022, after almost a decade of living in our second Washington home, we felt it was time to move into town. We were living out in the county and wanted to live within the Bellingham city limit to be closer to shopping, restaurants, entertainment, etc. Once again, we called Michelle. She came out to our house to meet with us and see what our needs were. After a discussion, Michelle immediately got to work for us. Michelle sold our house in a very tough market. It was late summer when we were ready to put our house on the market. By then, the market had shifted due to rising interest rates. Michelle was able to sell our house for our asking price. We never had to lower the price. Upon accepting an offer on our house, Michelle shifted from our selling agent to our buying agent. Within no time, we found a home that suited us and placed an offer lower than the sellers asking price. It was accepted and we were pending on a sale and purchase with a closing date close in time. Michelle did it again! Buying and selling a home is a stressful time. Working with Michelle Harrington for our real estate needs took some of the stress away. Although we knew she represented these clients by looking at her listings, we never knew it by the way she treated us. She always told us that whe works for us and represents our interest. Michelle always returned phone calls, texts, and emails in a timely manner. She uses all the latest techniques to help promote the sale of a home including professionally taken photos. We just closed on the sale of our home in Bellingham and only 2 weeks after it went on the market! Michelle was awesome to work with from start to finish.
