ZillowVERIFIED Melody is exactly the kind of operator I love working with: knowledgeable, flexible, detail oriented, with lots of hustle.Very little was normal about what I was looking for: second home for use as a short term vacation rental, on 1+ acre lot with some privacy, fairly tight search area, etc. After trying another realtor who did nothing but send me listings way outside my parameters, I got a referral via the planned property management company and found Melody.Working with her was awesome: I'd give her my quirky requests, she'd digest them and send over possibilities, then I'd further refine, until we'd settled on a list I could see on a tight timeline while visiting the area (I was buying remote).A quick anecdote on her adaptability: after the first round of houses, Melody declared my wife and I "very fast lookers" since we typically saw a house in 15-20 minutes. Rather than continue to schedule showings the same, the next time we went out she booked up a lot more and we cranked through a pile of showings, which allowed me to confidently narrow down the search to one specific property. I never once heard the dreaded, "Well that's not how it's usually done", which is one of my least favorite phrases in business - on the contrary, she was game to try anything.Once I was ready to put in an offer, she really kicked into high gear, helping me negotiate confidently, and rapidly handling all the back-and-forth. Once the contract was signed she jumped on helping me -- the remote buyer without local connections -- get inspections and estimates done under a really tight timeline. I closed yesterday after being under contract for just two and a half weeks, and there's no way I could've done that without her.I'll be using Melody again, probably very soon, since I hope to add a few more short term vacation rentals in the Boone area to our portfolio.
