I love being a REALTOR and I consider myself pretty lucky to get to work in such a rewarding industry! As a full-time REALTOR with 17 years of experience, I have the knowledge and experience necessary to help my clients in ways that others can't, don't or won't. Real Estate is a relationship business, and I am proud of the network of lenders, home inspectors, surveyors, title companies (and countless others) that I have built over my many years in the real estate industry. Together, we ALL work hard to get homes closed for our clients. My areas of expertise include: Buyers, Sellers, New Construction and Short-Term Rentals. I have sold over 500 new homes in my 17-year career, giving me extensive knowledge of new construction. I am also a licensed residential contractor and have built and remodeled several homes. Through building, I have a network of tradesmen/women that I count on to help with anything my clients need. I own and manage short-term rental properties as well... I love hosting guests in our beautiful city and assisting my clients with investment properties. My job is to be a resource for my clients, and I strive to be the best!

My husband Gary and I have 2 grown sons, our youngest is in finance and our oldest is about to graduate dental school. We enjoy spending as much time as we can with them!

Melissa has been terrific agent for us and is ALWAYS responsive and goes way out of her way to make sure we are happy and getting what we need. I would definitely recommend Melissa Lax to anyone looking for a realtor. Buying a house can be an intimidating process especially for first time home-buyers, but with Melissas knowledge and expertise in real estate it doesnt have to be. After a horrible experience with an online mortgage company, Melissa referred me to a local company that she highly recommended. Needless to say, she was right! She worked hard and tirelessly throughout the entire process and has even been available for questions since then.
