My wife and I had a tricky situation. Our new jobs were at opposite ends of Kansas City, and we were looking for an equal split on commute. Add on top of this we were trying to move to KC from 4 hours away while selling our old house. Throughout the whole experience Melissa was fantastic. My wife and I lived in some pretty interesting situations for seven years to save up enough to buy our first house. We had no idea what we were doing, but we knew we were financially stable enough to own the right house for us. The housing market did not cooperate. Houses were being snapped up to the point where everywhere we looked (and we looked a lot houses) was still on the market for a reason. We almost quit right there. Melissa came alongside us and was very patient in meeting us (and many times driving us) all over Kansas City until we found our home. She was very honest and didn't try to put us in a situation financially that wouldn't be right for us. She also talked us out of buying a couple because she knew we were only considering because we were tired of the process and were prepared to offer on a house that we really didn't want, just to be done with shopping. I'm so glad she did. We are very happy with our home, and hope to be here forever. She walked us through all of the steps needed to close on our home. She has continued to check in on us to see if we are doing okay, and has even left cards/housewarming gifts on our front porch when we were away. If you are new to the process of buying or selling a home, then this is the realtor for you. If you have bought or sold before, and want someone patient and honest enough to help you hit as many of the goals you set for yourself when it comes to what you need and want in a home, she will see you through even if you are ready to quit. I don't know what we would have done without Melissa, but I do know, we wouldn't be living in this place we now call home.
