1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Do not settle. You will know if it's the home for you the minute you walk through the door. Always get pre-approved for a mortgage before looking at any homes to be sure you are being realistic in your price range.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Choose your listing agent wisely. Be sure they are truly honest, know the local market, use a professional photographer and are up-to-date on the latest and greatest ways to market your property online.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with some really awesome clients selling their residential properties.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I was able to get 2 farms sold for 2 brothers who had their homes listed with other agents previously for about 4 years. I had the homes under contract within about 2 months each. It was such a pleasure to work with them both and to see them finally make their moves to Florida. To see their pictures on Facebook in their new homes always put a smile on my face as I know it took them a long time to get there and I was able to help.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
My mother was a real estate agent for RE/MAX in the 1980s. I always paid attention to what homes sold for in my local market. After the recession and my kids were older I was trying to figure out what to do next. My mother is the one who told me I should get into it. She was right. I love it!
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I take pride in marketing homes. My team consists of myself, my photographer and my videographer. I like to put my marketing dollars into the homes I list and not for personal lead generation tools. This benefits my clients as their home is presented to the public very professionally. I have training with the Institute of Luxury Home Marketing which has helped set me apart from other agents and again, benefits my clients whether they are listing a $150,000 condo to a house over $1,000,000.
