Very impressed with this realtor. She listed this property and had many inquiries after listing With a contract within 30 days. She constantly cut me in the loop throughout the process touching base with me at least once weekly. I highly recommend this realtor friendly one selling property in the Jefferson County region of New York State.
I HIGHLY recommend that you consider working with Jim Radley whether listing or wanting to sell your Northern New York property! From the moment of our first meeting, I have been 100% satisfied (amazed, really) at Jim's knowledge and professionalism. He truly went above and beyond with advice, consideration and hard work from the date of listing to our closing two days ago. I held a real estate sales license myself for 18 years so I knew what I was looking for and Jim delivered. To add to the challenge, we worked long-distance as we live in South Carolina, it was in the "dead" of a Jefferson County winter AND, the final weeks were impacted by stay-at-home orders in response to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic!
A close friend of mine asked meaEUR|.aEUR?what do you think the #1 sign is of a quality agent?aEUR?We were buying a vacation property about 3hrs away from our current residence. Our go-to agent in our area referred us to a real estate agent in the area of our vacation property, Melanie Curley. As our buyers agent, she successfully helped us to negotiate a purchase price that we felt was fair and all the small details were handled.Unbeknownst to us (and Ms. Curley), this purchase pretty much took the cake when it came to difficulty reaching the closing table (due to issues on seller side). Ms. Curley went above and beyond to try to make this happen for us. An extension document she wrote was so expertly done, it literally saved the sale. What do I think the sign is of a quality agent? Well there are lots, of course. But my friend said to only pick one. Its being available. Available to answer emails, phone calls, texts. Melanie has a full workload, but I never felt as though I could not reach her. Not even once. In real estate, time is of the essence. A missed phone call could mean a missed opportunity.Currently, my experience is limited to having her as my Buyers agent. But as a seller, I would not even hesitate to hire her. If I can reach her as a buyer; that means if I was a seller other agents can reach her and other buyers can reach her. My house would get sold a lot faster. It seems like such a simple skill, but it is something that many dont master. She also has all of the other qualities of a good agent as well (knowledge of her area, connections, attention to detail, honesty, fortitude, tenacity). For our purchase, she even helped with things far outside the normal purview of a Buyers agent, just to help us close. We spent months and months together, working towards this exceptional purchase. Every time I would joke with her, and say aEURoewont you be glad when that day comes that you dont see an email or phone call with our name on it?aEUR? She never took the bait.
When we decide to sell our 120 year old home, I contacted Melanie because I was impressed with the real estate articles she writes for our local newspaper. She was right on target with her suggestions, honest and encouraging, and available when we had questions. We followed her recommendations and she sold our home for a fair price within days of listing it. We are thrilled and grateful to her for her guidance. I would recommend Melanie Curley to anyone buying or selling real estate in the Thousand Islands area.
We listed both land and our home with Jim. And we're thankful we did. We ran into a few problems and Jim handled them professionally, quickly and respectfully. We sold everything fast and it was a pleasure working with someone as nice as Jim Radley. We highly recommend him.
Jim was amazing to work with! Being first time homebuyers we had no idea how the process worked, what questions to ask, what the paperwork meant and Jim helped us every step of the way. He was always responsive and happily worked around our busy schedule. Jim helped us find our forever home and we couldnt be happier!
We have only the finest words to describe our relationship with Melanie. Intelligent and professional, she was a perfect fit for us. Straightforward and very accomplished. We started off with others, found their efforts disappointing and switched to her. She sold our property quickly, and she sold it through thoughtful presentation, superior marketing, and personality. Highly recommend
