After over a year of searching, and feeling totally lost and overwhelmed by the home buying process, some close friends of ours who had worked with Megan in the past suggested we call her. We had been working with a real estate agent friend and under their guidance we submitted offers on a number of homes without success. When we most recently lost out on a house that we really loved, we realized we needed a new realtor if we were serious about purchasing a new property. Following an extensive internet search we interviewed several top agents in the area and felt a deep connection with Megan from our first phone call. As we began thinking about purchasing our first home, we interviewed a number of different realtors and were about to commit to one when a friend gave me a rave review of Megan. My current rental lease was coming up for renewal so I began to consider purchasing a home, but I was intimidated by the idea of buying a house with all the news about low inventory, sky high prices, and rising interest rates. After graduating from business school, we decided we were ready to start investing in real estate and were introduced to Megan by friends who had previously worked with her. As a burgeoning property investor I was looking for an experienced real estate professional to help me with a 1031 exchange when I began to prepare a property in the South Bay for sale. My plan was to reinvest part of the proceeds in a multi-family unit in the inner East Bay and the balance near my home in Portland, Oregon. I had known Megan while growing up as a friend of my parents and I began following her on social media at the suggestion of my sister and a few other friends.
