ZillowVERIFIEDBuying a condo in DC is not an easy task. It is often hard to get a straight answer regarding final costs etc so that making such a big decision is not based upon the kind of information you would like. As a result it is a stressful process, and we found we badly needed someone we could trust. Matt had been recommended to us by our son so we felt good about the connection. That opinion only increased. During one of the most stressful periods everyone involved wanted financial information from us. It was thorough and detailed and included locating papers and detailed financial information most of which I had never had to produce before. I had no idea what some of it was nor how to get it. The requests would begin in the morning and increase as the day went on. Everyone needed these details immediately. The pressure was constant and tremendous. One day I just disintegrated. The task seemed endless. I would finally locate something and that only produced more requests. I just broke down. It so happened that Matt called right at that moment. He remained calm and considerate. I was embarrassed but he was fine. He gave me strategies to get through this. He encouraged me to take walks and not to believe that everything needed to be produced immediatelyaEUR"though that was the implied message. He was very reassuring about my ability to get through this. He could have reacted in many ways, but his manner was respectful and understanding. This was a process that he understood and was comfortable with so he needed to reach beyond his experience to understand my stress and discomfort. That is just one such example. My respect for and trust in Matt grew. He never let us down. I cannot recommend him enough. He returns calls, is honest, keeps you informed and is always available when you need him. No complaints. Not one. He maintained this standard all the way through until the sale had been made and all matters settled. I still have the sense that if I had a question and needed some answers Matt would be willing to provide them. He has also recommended several excellent workers when we needed to hire someone for a specific job. It helps that he has a wonderful staff.
