Mary Sue Broadwater

My life's journey has taken me from a working mother of two sons in the early days of being a Realtor, thru the many market swings, including escalating interest rates, diverse financing packages, to a failed savings and loan industry, and back. Coupled with parenting and marketing real estate, I was employed by the Wood County Board of Education, as a Teacher's Aide for Special Needs students for ten plus years. Church, community involvement, and volunteerism has taught me to share more generously and give more passionately from my heart to those who are less fortunate. As a member of First Baptist Church Williamstown, WV, I will be a part of the mission team to Honduras in July, 2011. Previously, I had been a member of a medical mission team to the Dominican Republic. Volunteering for the American Heart Association, the Easter Seals Foundation, and participating in the Parkersburg Art Center's TableScapes Auction and the Easter Seals Christmas Tree Auction at the Blennerhassett Hotel have been rewarding experiences. A gift from my heart to the community, over the past fourteen years, has been the Mt. Olivet Cemetery Luminary Presenation, during the Christmas season. As a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, I am a Past State President of the West Virginia State Chapter and member of the National Rifle Association.
