I've worked with multiple realtors over the years, and no one has made the experience even close to as painless (and even delightful) as Martinique. But, I can give you anecdotal evidence until my face turns blue, so let's look at the numbers. - In this competitive market, Martinique helped me secure a move-in ready home in a nice neighborhood for the asking price, no more! - I came in with a relatively low budget and high needs. Martinique met me where I was at and showed me numerous suitable properties within my price range. - We were able to go into contract after just 3 weeks of looking for a house. - I wanted a fast escrow, so we agreed on a 21 day escrow period. We were new to the area and didn t understand a lot of the process or the things we should be paying attention to, and she was really understanding and HONEST. That meant a lot to us. She was always trying to understand exactly what we needed to pay to win each bid, but was never pushy and helped us to be reasonable and set our expectations. She pointed out things about houses that would be dealbreakers, but in a way that was lighthearted and made the experience more enjoyable. We don t have a car, and she kindly offered to drive us around to listings, even if they were sometimes really far. Even after closing, she continues to support us by contacting the listing broker every couple of days or so to get more information on the house, and to resolve any issues. Overall, she is just a fun and pleasant person to be around, and we would recommend her to anyone.Our story is that we unexpectedly came across an amazing listing a few weeks before going on a long overseas vacation, and we didn t have service for a few days close to closing and had to handle signing remotely! Martinique handled everything smoothly and professionally when we were gone, in spite of us going with a national lender (against her recommendation) who was a bit difficult to deal with and needed a lot of extra documentation. We also faced issues because of the appraisal coming in late, which was also the fault of the lender. We almost lost the EMD because of them, but Martinique managed to smooth things over. I don t think we would have been able to close without her!Martinique is a local, having been born and raised in Oakland, and purchased here several times as well. We were living in SF prior to the purchase, so it was super helpful to have her local knowledge and information!
