Mark Engledow is an amazing real estate agent. I live and work out of the USA so communication was important in setting up viewing of homes before we arrived in the states. Mark met us when we arrived and had homes for my wife and me to view immediately. He worked tirelessly to show us many homes. Even after the negotiations of sale price and closing, Mark assisted with a post sale lease agreement between me and the seller, keeping my wife and I updated after the sale on activities concerning the well being of our new home, weather updates, power switch needs and so much patience. It is amazing how Mark took such good care. Mark went above and beyond what is expected of a real estate agent in any stretch of the capacity. My wife and i feel as though Mark treated us as family, not as clients.
Mark listened carefully to what I was looking for in a cabin near Blue Ridge, took the ones I found on Zillow, added some more he researched, took me out for one day of looking, and I found exactly what I wanted. His knowledge of the area made this purchase very easy and quick. I have recommended him and will continue to do so!
This is my second transaction with Mark over a span of 4 years. In both transactions Mark was the consummate professional. I worked with Mark as a purchaser and seller. I live in Charlotte NC and as a result I found it necessary to rely on Mark to handle certain things that were over and above what was expected. Mark never let me down. He always came through with thoughtful practical solutions even though they might require him to do additional work. He expended significant effort to ensure that he represented me with the highest level of integrity. Mark truly knows the North Ga. real estate market. In my time with Mark he immediately understood what I wanted and set out to make that happen. The properties that he showed me always satisfied a number of my stated criteria. I appreciated his sensitivity to not wasting my time and his knowledge of the area making sure I always had relevant properties to examine. When acting on my behalf as a seller's agent Mark knew the market well enough to price the property to maximize my return and ensure traffic was adequate. He kept me up to date on market transactions and what was happening with competitive properties. Mark always had a fantastic attitude. Buyers and sellers can often times have unrealistic expectations about a transaction. Mark would help work through those times with buyers and sellers on the other side of the table from me as well as with me. He did so in a manner that was professional, respectful and considerate of all parties involved. There were never any pushbacks when Mark was asked to do things. His attitude was always positive. A real breath of fresh air in a very difficult profession. I would recommend Mark highly to anyone looking for a professional agent that truly understands the North Ga. Mark was always responsive, resourceful, and savvy about prepping the house, which needed some work to get it on the market. During the listing, he worked hard to bring potential buyers to the property, and maintained active relations with Realtors in the local area and in the Atlanta Metro area. We ended up getting three offers within what i required for selling and we were able to go with the one that best fit my families criteria. Mark was a real Pro in helping to explain our options, and keep to a clear negotiating strategy. During the run up to closing he kept monitoring the Buyers' activities from getting a survey, to handling the walk-thru and progress on conventional financing. All the while keeping me informed. To sum up, I chose Mark because he has considerable experience in both knowing the rural market he works in, and in how to work with all kinds of people. I was always confident in him and that confidence paid-off handsomely.

As out-of-state residents seeking a log vacation home in the North Georgia mountains, we began our journey with little experience or familiarity in the area. Furthermore, we were hamstrung by a full day's driving distance from home. We chose Mark to guide us through the process based on consistently positive reviews.Throughout the year-long process, Mark proved to be honest, hard-working, resilient, well-organized, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Whenever we were able to break away to come up to view properties, Mark, through painstaking research and local knowledge, diligently laid out an efficient tour of cabins that aligned with our preferences. When we saw a home online that piqued our interest, we called Mark to check out the property knowing we could trust his judgment. During the ebb and flow of our absence and competing issues, Mark never lost his enthusiasm and was always responsive whenever we were ready to resume the search. Over the course of the year, we probably viewed nearly 50 properties in person and had Mark screen dozens more that would not have been suitable for our parameters. By the time we completed our journey, we felt confident that we had seen nearly everything in our price range and had found, unquestionably, the best log home in the mountains. Our position was unique in that we were in the home market for a second home but unable to actually travel to the area at the time. Mark provided honest input/opinions regarding properties based upon our wants and needs. Whenever we provided a property address he would have information back to us the same day. We have family living in the area and he graciously meet with them at properties on several occasions to also get their opinion for us
We were very impressed with the service Mark provided during the sale of our vacation cabin. He went above and beyond to make the process as easy as possible for us. Living out of state makes it challenging to sell a home but Mark made it a hassle free experience. Mark is not only a very professional person but also kind and caring!
