Mark helped my mother with the sale of her house when she was moving into the Riderwood retirement community. I do not live in the area, so it was a challenge to coordinate all the aspects of the process. Mark and his fabulous assistant Jeannie prepared the house to go on the market, recommending good contractors who provided estimates on the work that needed to be done. Mark and Jeannie oversaw the repairs and ensured everything was done properly and on schedule, providing me with regular updates. Then they staged the house tastefully, had it photographed, and put it on the market. We accepted a full-price offer within a week and settled within three weeks. Mark and his team took the stress out of the sale and guided us to a smooth settlement. If youre looking for a caring and responsible realtor, I highly recommend Mark and his team at Long and Foster.
Mark was great to work with! Very pleasant and knowledgable of what needed to be done in order to sell and get the best price possible. He also had excellent contacts to help us out with a few remodeling projects. We had a few glitches at the end that Mark was very helpful in getting us through. Hi associate, Jeannie, did a great job of staging for the open house. Would definitely use him again.
From start to finish Mark did an awesome job! He acted like a General Contractor getting together the best flooring company in place MD carpet and Tile Michael Haddad to redo all the wood florring, lay new carpeting in basement and redo flooring in back basement. He had SDF's Eric Wasli do an aweome job in getting the house updated from repairing walls to painting to installing lighting fixtures etc made the house fresh and as current as possible. He had Star Maids do a thorough cleaning of the house to make it clean for sale. Additionally, Mark's recommendation to open the pool made the house in my opinion which made the home an an even better and more attaractive property for the new family to purchase it. Mark had Jeannie Park his Client Service Administrator to help stage the home. She was a great person to have helping Mark get us to the finish line. Very helpful on getting house immediately on market as soon as we decided. All visitations handles respectfully and home sale price was almost immediately accepted during a slight downward turn in market. Jeanne was such a delight to work with in aEUR~staging and getting all documents to us timely for signatures. A few aEUR~bumps to be expected, but all was handled immediately with all experts needed.
From start to finish Mark was very responsive and attentive. Even after our closing date he was available to help. Any questions we had (realty related or not) hed answered or find out the answer for us. He also had a recommendation for everything. From a financial advisor, to home inspectors, to handymen. We recently worked with Mark Day and his team with the recent sale of our family house. After the loss of our mom the family house needed to be sold and we contacted several real estate agents to interview. As a result of Mark Days professional presentation, his success in selling houses, good humor, honesty, and realistic approach, he was the winner. Through Marks guidance we decided to fix up the house for maximum resale value vs selling aEUR~as is. Our house was unique (older home, several acres, barn and horse paddocks) and needed significant work and upgrades. One concern was everyone in our family was busy and the time-consuming process of finding and dealing with contractors would have been overwhelming. No problem, Mark took over the added task of managing the entire process. Mark acted as the general contractor and that was a lot of work. What a relief! The whole process required a lot of communication and Mark worked closely with us and kept us well informed. Once completed we chose to have the house staged and Mark Day and his assistant did an amazing job and the house never looked better when it went on the market. Unfortunately for us, after years of interest rates being low the timing of our sale was after several interest rate increases. The market climate had changed rapidly. This challenge required Marks decades of experience and understanding of changing housing climates as he worked closely with us to price and market the home for sale. With the home repairs, staging, online photos including overhead drone shots, open house, professional communications the home sold. Our experience was outstanding. If you need a real estate agent, I'd strongly recommend Mark Day.
Highly professional! Mr. Days estimate of the value of our house for the purpose of listing it for sale was spot on. The staff at the community where I now live recommended Mark Day to handle the sale of my condominium. Mark gave me such good advice about timing the sale, the asking price, and preparations for putting the apartment on the market. His assistant Jeannie Park was very helpful with staging the apartment and with many other details. When the very prompt offer arrived, Mark helped me assess its terms and negotiate a few changes. The closing went very smoothly. All in all, the experience was as good as it gets!
