I?ve known Mark for many years and in my own business have met countless real estate agents across North America. I can honestly say that it?s hard to find a realtor as dedicated, honest and loyal like Mark Colarossi. Throughout the years I?ve had the privilege of watching Mark grow into the highly skilled professional that he is today. If you are selling your home and looking for a realtor that will work hard for you and keep your best interest in mind, In my opinion you should look elsewhere. From the start, my property was not described or marketed properly in the listing. That was my first indication, that my experience with this company would be a nightmare. My home was only listed for a short time, yet my realtor, Mark, tried to convince me to accept the very first offer that was made on the properties. I felt the offer was to low and had several upcoming showings scheduled. In addition, my listing specified that I did not want FHA mortgages and this buyer was in the process of obtaining an FHA loan. I expressed my concerns to Mark and he replied? I always say, if you have a fish on the line, reel it in.? I asked, ?Mark, are you saying we should ?reel it in,? even if it means I?m losing $40,000?? In addition, I explained that I was concerned for the buyer because the properties are high maintenance and he is a first time home buyer with no experience maintaining rental properties. Again, Mark ignored my concerns and said, ?Once you get his money what do you care. You need to stop worrying about other people.? I felt disgusted and wanted to take time to consider whether or not I should accept the offer. Mark was extremely unprofessional and kept urging me to take the deal. He harassed me for two months straight and continued to be ignorant and ignore my concerns. Finally, I relented and hesitantly signed the contract, even though I wasn?t happy with it, and felt pressured to make a decision I didn?t want to make. From that day, things only got worse. We had the properties inspected and received an extremely low FHA appraisal. My husband and I decided to cancel the contract because we were now far lower than the original asking price and as previously stated, had the interest of other buyers. Even after I cancelled the contract, the harassment from Mark continued. Rather than focusing on other buyers, he continued to urge me to take the deal. On November 28th, 2022, Mark texted me and advised that the buyer was about to sign a year lease on a rental ?If he did he would not purchase our home.? Mark then informed me that I had until 10:00 am November 29th and I needed to give him an answer. I am a senior this was my largest assets my home of 38 years and I had 17 hours to make a decision on a deal that was clearly not in my best interest to accept and I had made it very clear to him I was not interested in proceeding with the deal. Mark made me feel like I wouldn?t get a better deal and pressured me relentlessly. I hesitantly moved forward with the deal but regret it and feel that the poor service I received from Mark resulted in me feeling like I made a mistake selling two homes I had for 38 years at a price I cannot live with. Mark was originally going to receive a 5% commission for the listing but offered to accept 4% to further push me into a deal I never wanted. He utilized that 1% as another tactic to push me into selling at an unacceptable price. It is important to hire a realtor to sell your home that makes you feel confident they have your best interests in mind. You want to know right from the beginning they will do what?s right for you. Mark made selling my homes one of the worst experiences of my life. Please run from this company!
