About Mark Barter

Mark brings a broad range of professional sales experience to Slocum Realty, with his last 20 years focused on selling and customer service in the software and staffing industries. Intrigued by real estate for many years, Mark decided to finally act on his interest and became a realtor in 2016, quickly becoming a multi-million dollar producer. He is confident that the experience gained thru his years working with clients in a corporate setting, contributed to his successful transition to the real estate industry. Mark brings a successful sales career, a keen attention to detail and a willingness to go the extra mile for his clients, to Slocum Realty. Mark is professional, has excellent customer service skills, and is completely dedicated to making his client's dreams of home ownership become a reality. Mark can easily engage with people, earn their confidence and become a trusted partner. Mark, a Coventry resident, was very active in youth sports leagues. He was President of Coventry Little League for 6 years, participated as a coach and board member for the Coventry Basketball Association for many years, was an assistant coach with the Coventry High School boy's basketball team for 2 years and was a team manager in the Coventry Babe Ruth baseball league for 3 years. In 2012, Mark was chosen as manager of the Coventry American Little League All Star team. The team won Coventry's first ever 12 year old State Championship and then participated as RI's representative at the Little League New England Regional Championship in Bristol, CT. The following year, Mark was chosen to manage the 13 year old Babe Ruth All Star team. The team won both the RI State Championship and the New England Regional Championship held in Manchester, NH, which led to the Coventry team being New England's representative at the 2013 Babe Ruth World Series in Williston, ND. The team ended up finishing in a very respectable 3rd Place in the tournament. Mark is happily married to his wife Norma, a Dispatch Manager at Carousel Industries. He is also the proud father of two sons, Cory and Joey. Cory joined his Dad as a realtor with Slocum Realty and Joey is a Junior at Keene State College in NH.

When we first met Mark, we were first-time homebuyers. He took the time to explain in detail the process of home buying and patiently answered all of our questions thoroughly.
