We would like to comment on the explementary (higher than outstanding) service we got from Mark Carter and Marie Reed Real Estate as our agent for a home purchase in Mills River. We found Mark through a Zillow listing where the Marie Reed team and Mark came highly rated. We provided some ideas for our home interests, Mark found us potential homes to check out and we searched for 2-3 days at about 10 listings. Mark led us through the process of search, offer and contract in early September. Everything was ready to go for closing about October 1 when Hurricane Helene hit western North Carolina and the house we hoped to buy was damaged. All the plans we had made were suddenly in the air. If Marks help was valuable before this point, it was even more important from this point on. He worked with unflagging energy and creativity with us, the seller, and the legal team to navigate unprecedented problems and keep finding solutions to make this deal work for all concerned.
