We worked with Maria to buy a property in Florida in the middle of the pandemic. Because we couldn't travel to visit the properties, Maria became our eyes and ears on the ground. We had never met in person but she quickly gained our trust and helped us navigate a remote purchase in a very challenging real estate market. She was super responsive which was important because properties were selling as quickly as they came on the market. We inquired about a home for sale while we were still in CA and Maria was the one who called us back immediately. Without knowing if we were actually serious buyers, she offered to go to the house and "walk" us through it using her phone. Maria lives down the road from where I ended up purchasing my home. It and every other property she took me to (either by request, or recommendation) she had plenty of knowledge of the surrounding area!Maria at all stages of the process provided very easy to understand bullet-point style lists of what needed to be done. She would follow up with me and ensure I never had questions, nor ever missed a deadline.In the current climate, property turnover is incredibly high (same-day sales). On any occassion when I wanted to see a property, or had a question, Maria was always very quick to respond. She frequently got me into houses the same day I asked to see them. In any case that wasn't feasible (i.e. seller/realtor not being available), it was early the next day.During my house hunting process, I made a total of 3 offers, and thus went through 3 negotiation processes. EVERY TIME I felt Maria had my back and was providing helpful insight into the negotiation processes.

If I could give Maria Mitchell 5000 stars I would. We initially met Maria back in August when my husband and I went to an open house that she was hosting. We made it clear that this was not the right house for us But that did not stop her from giving us her undivided attention. She spent at least 15 minutes with us educating us on the ins and outs of home buying and selling. Maria is truly an expert in her field. Fast forward to October. We reached out to Maria on a Wednesday, we explained our difficult home search and the unique challenges that we experienced, she welcomed us with open arms. We had been using another realtor from July until October. We lost out on 3 other homes and were feeling quite defeated. After our phone conversation with Maria on Wednesday, she scheduled us to view multiple homes on that Saturday. She was on her game in this high demand, low inventory real estate market. She even added a home that popped up late on Friday night. She booked us 6 back to back showings. That was the day that we found our home- the late Friday night listing. Maria was able to get our offer accepted in a multiple offer situation. Her knowledge and experience was on our side. We were under contracted the next evening -Sunday. She was also successful in negotiating a $13k roof replacement as the roof was 20 years old. And just when you think this couldn't go wrong from here, the home didn't appraise. Maria worked feverishly on an appraisal dispute ultimately negotiating a $32k price reduction. Maria's diligence and dedication is the reason that I am able to submit this review.I would (and do) recommend Maria to anyone interested in buying a new home. Maria Mitchell is truly one of a kind.
